Candle Magick
Begin on a Thursday, perform for nine consecutive days. Light a yellow candle and concentrate for a moment on its yellow appearance. Then say the following five times.
“O cheerful yellow, Penetrate my mind Improve my memory
Give me powers of great observation.
May I remember all I seek to recall
May my concentration be Perfect in all things big and small.”

Here’s a great spell for May Eve, Beltane, or anytime you wish to summon faery folk.
~You will need powdered ginger and a small spoon. Set out candles at the compass directions: yellow in the east, red in the south, blue in the west, green in the north. Place a crystal or other stone beside each candle. Stand in the center of the room and send out thoughts of welcome. Chant the following:
“O spirits of plants and earth and trees, O little ones of every form, show yourselves to me, I ask, if you please. I mean no harm. Gaurdian spirits, watchers fair, our lives are joined. All things we share. Join me in friendship now, and kindness, and love.”
~ Go to the east. Light the candle. Sprinkle a little ginger by the candle, and say: “Nature spirits, faeries, dryads, and sylphs. Please hear my call. Good spirits enter this circle I made. Good spirits only, and kindness to all.”
~ Go to the south. Light the candle. Sprinkle ginger, and say: ” Star beings and devas, little beings of light, Please hear my call. Good spirits enter this circle I made. Good spirits only, and kindness to all.”
~ Go to the west. Light the candle. Sprinkle ginger, and say: “Water sprites,nymphs, naiads and undines. Please hear my call. Good spirits enter this circle I made. Good spirits only, and kindness to to all.”
~ Finish by going to the north. Light the candle. Sprinkle ginger and say: ” Little ones of the moonbeams, Please hear my call. Good spirits enter this circle I made. Good spirits only, and kindness to all.”
Sit quietly for a time, thinking about the fairy folk, be aware of their featherlight touches your body. Listen for their musical voices in your mind. Talk to them if you wish. When communication is finished, stand in the center of the circle. Raise your arms high, saying:
” All thanks and blessings be, To those of air, earth, sky, and sea. Go in peace. And all shall be well.”
Blow out the candles starting in the south and go counterclockwiseor widdershins.

Items Needed:
- Purple (votive) candle
- Pen and paper
- Vegetable oil
- Fireproof dish
- Cayenne pepper
Inscribe the candle with your name, then draw the infinity symbol (a horizontal figure 8), both above and below your name. Anoint the candle with vegetable oil and roll it in cayenne pepper. (If you hold the candle by the wick, you can avoid getting oil and cayenne pepper all over your fingers.)
Write a brief description of the situation on the paper and place it under the candle holder. Light the candle and say:
“Wax and herb, now bring me power
That grows with every passing hour.
Bring control back unto me.
As I will, so mote it be!
This is a easy spell for peace, it helps relax and calm your soul.

Casting Instructions
- Take your needle and write peace in the side of the candle.
- Take the needle again and prick your finger.
- Rub your blood all over the candle.
Absorb energy into your breath and breathe it into the candle.
Then light your candle and stick it in the ground, being sure that the area around the candle is free of anything that may catch fire. Leave the candle overnight allowing it to burn completely down. As you sleep think of the peace coming to you in the night. Then it shall be.

This is a very simple spell. You will need two candles, a white one for you and a blue one for friends and family. As the full moon is rising, light the candles and say:
“I light these candles for luck for me,
and for my friends and family,
So they will burn by day and night,
and bring us joy by their bright light.”
Allow the candles burn until they are done. If something happens and you must put them out, pinch each flame out and say the following:
Little flame wait for me
I’ll be back and bright you’ll be.
Don’t blow them out it will stop the spell. Be sure to relight the candles later when you can allow them to burn completely down.

- A plate
Put the candles on the plate and spread sugar all around them. Light the candles. Call for assistance from these three angels. Rafael, Michael, and Gabriel. Ask that three wishes be granted.
- A wish for business or money.

- Something impossible.
Place the plate with the burning candles on your altar, next to a window, or on a high shelf. Allow the candles to burn completely.
Publish this spell on the 3rd day after you requested the wishes by mailing it to another person, posting it to a Internet news group or announcing your thanks to the saints in a newspaper classified ad. See what happens on the 4th day.

You will need:
- 2 Candles (l pink and 1 white)
- Cinnamon
- A moonstone
Place the candles on the alter, the pink one to the left and the white on to the right. Cast a circle and light the candles. Place the moonstone on the alter. Invite the Goddess Selene (or other goddess of your choice) to join you, for you will be needing her help. Next, sprinkle the cinnamon in a figure-eight pattern around the two candles.As you sprinkle the cinnamon, speak these words aloud:
“Oh Great Goddess of the light,
Bring me happiness, true and bright!
May a new love so true come to me!
So mote it be!
Thank the Goddess and close the circle. Either let the candles burn out, or snuff them out but do not blow the flames out.

There are many spells to accelerate time for the caster. This spell is designed to make time fly, or at least feel like it is. Begin by outlining your altar with roses to form a circle. Next, light three candles and place them upon your alter. Cast your magick circle and repeat the following words:
“Father time by these candles three,
make my days, hours and minutes flee.
I cannot wait as the candles burn.
Time, time, quickly turn.”
If the candles are blown out, assume that your spell worked. If not, repeat the process at a later time until they do.

On the Eve of Samhain, (the night before Halloween), get a white candle, matches and mirror for this spell. At dusk, go to a haunted area or a place you feel the spirits are especially powerful. Make contact by walking about and allowing your mind to roam. Light your white candle and stare into it saying:
Clear as midnight,
the spirits are bright.
Ghostly curiosity
brings you to me.
As a form takes shape,
I am not asleep.
Spirit awake,
take your shape.
Let the candle flicker. Glance into the mirror and look past your shoulder. Do you see mists or lighted balls in the reflection? This is how ghosts typically appear. Return to the area on the next three nights. Take some pictures. At home, place your mirror face down. Mirrors trap spirits. Some spirits will track you as you search for their reflections. If you want your those to leave, just say so. Follow this up by putting a broom over your transom and burning sage.

On your altar place two red candles at either end. Before doing this, rub the two candles with rose essential oil. This spell is best begun on a Friday, the day of the week devoted to the Goddess Aphrodite, perform this task to attract your beloved.
Write your name on one candle, and your beloved’s on the other. If you do not know his or her name, simply write “my beloved” or “my true love.” Try to use language that will ensure positive magic. If you simply write “handsome” you may well end up with someone gorgeous, but who is harmful for you in some other way.
Each evening at seven, light the candles and move them slightly closer together. Carve into your candle a word of special significance to you, perhaps taken from insights while meditating. Perhaps the word “devoted” should be carved into your beloved’s candle. On your own, write the same. Meditate on this quality for several minutes, then snuff out the candles. Repeat this for seven nights, using a different quality each time, until on the seventh, the following Friday, both candles are finally standing as close together as possible. Light them and let them burn down and out.
If any wax remains, scatter it before you as you walk through a beautiful place, wishing it to bring good fortune to others hoping for love.
