Apollo is a spirit of omnivorous sexuality. His romantic desires for men and women are equally strong; what seems to be the bottom line of attraction for him is beauty, intelligence, and talent, rather than gender. His is a complex myth.
Classical Greek mythology paints him as the handsomest, most talented, most clever spirit of all, yet the women he pursues inevitably run from his embrace. Apollo had better luck with male lovers, with whom he had happy, successful relationships. Request his assistance, especially with someone who’s hard to get.
Here’s how:
Carve and dress a large yellow or gold candle and dedicate it to Apollo. You can use any love drawing oil. Roll the candle in powdered Saint John’s Wort. Burn it and make your appeal.
Apollo’s sacred creatures include crows and mice. Significant or surprising appearances may signal your response.
Use this method to empower water to remove excess weight from your body.
- 1 ice tray
- Water, to fill the ice tray
- Yellow food coloring
- Lemon wedges
Tint the water a pretty yellow and pour it into the ice tray. Drink water with a lemon wedge over this ice as part of your diet.
Each time you add ice, affirm, “As the ice melts away, so too does my excess weight. So mote it be!”

Begin with a 4 inch by 4 inch yellow swatch of cloth. Inside the cloth, place a piece of bloodstone and loadstone to attract the energies you most want and need. Add some dried onion and garlic (about 1 teaspoon of each); the powerful aroma and taste of these items is associated with similarly strong vibrations.
When you’ve gathered everything, put your hands palms down over all the items. Visualize a reddish-yellow light pouring from your palms into the entire assembly and add this incantation:

And when released into the winds
By my will, this spell begins.
Carry the pouch with you when you feel your inner resolve waning. When you need strength quickly take a pinch of garlic and onion and release it to the winds (you can also recite the incantation again to support your goal), When you get close to the bottom of the bundle, refill and bless it anew.
This healing spell is best performed on a Monday.
Here’s what you need:
- a picture (or item) of the sick person
- a golden wish cord, yellow rope or ribbon
Hold the cord over the picture (or item) and say the following, tying a knot in the cord with each phrase:
With knot of one, my spell’s begun
With knot of two my word is true,
With knot of three, I bring healing to thee,
By knot of four, you’re better than before,
By knot of five you are no longer sick,
By knot of six this spell’s alive,
Seventh knot sealed, you are healed
Tie one last knot as you say:
“So mote it be”
Now, burn the knotted cord to release the magick.

Begin on a Thursday, perform for nine consecutive days. Light a yellow candle and concentrate for a moment on its yellow appearance. Then say the following five times.
“O cheerful yellow, Penetrate my mind Improve my memory
Give me powers of great observation.
May I remember all I seek to recall
May my concentration be Perfect in all things big and small.”

You will need:
- Large circle of cloth
- St. John’s wort oil
- 2 yellow candles
- St John’s Wort flowers (any yellow flowers may be substituted)
Spread cloth on floor and sprinkle few drops of blood-red St. John’s wort oil. Anoint candles with more oil and divide flowers into two bunches. Sit in the middle of the cloth and place flowers at the edge of cloth on each side. Light candles and place them in front and behind you. Pick 2 perfect blooms and hold one upright palm on your hand.
Focus your mind and chant:
“Oh healing light, surround me now,
relive my spirit’s darkest hour”
Imagine the light being drawn from the candles into the flowers on your palms, and from there feel it permeating the whole of your body. Try to keep concentration for 20 minutes. To complete, take the two flowers in your hands and give them back to Mother Earth.
