Acceptance Spells

This spell is for those damaged souls who have been through the mill in love. They have failed, and they have failed miserably. They are not even willing to take another chance on love because they feel crippled underneath the baggage they are already carrying. This spell combines a bit of wisdom and a bit of hope and a heap of renewal energy. This spell may be performed only on the new moon. You can perform this spell on yourself or for that dismal friend of yours with his/her consent before you try to fix him/her up with a blind date.

You will need:

  • Milk
  • Shot of rum
  • An egg
  • Teaspoon of sugar
  • Spritz of Lemon Juice

Heat up the milk, add a shot of rum (or imitation rum flavoring), crack an egg, and stir it in (minus the shell). Add a teaspoon of sugar and a spritz of lemon juice. Take off the stove before it reaches a boil and guzzle it down quickly. Lemon heals, neutralizes, and repels negative energy , situations, and hopelessness. Milk is loving and nurturing, cures depression, and alleviates fear. Rum clears the way and brings insight, eggs are for rebirth, and the sugar will sweeten the new path of love that awaits you.

The old, nostalgic memories of past romances never seem to fade, though we do tend to forget the bad parts. When the influence of an old flame lingers, when the passion of a past and long-gone love refuses to die and keep interfering with the present, it is time to put it to rest. This spell will not eliminate the memories, but it will finally snuff the misplaced embers of a long-gone love.

You will need:

  • Nine black beans
  • A piece of black paper

At midnight, when the moon is almost black, get the paper and the beans and sit in silence, Fully remembering your old flame. Invoke your past passion, the feelings you still hold on to. Then, take up each bean in turn, say one line of the charm, and put the bean onto the paper. Do this until all nine beans are on the paper. Then fold up the paper.

The following are the nine parts of the charm to say, one for each bean:

Soul of bliss, perfect kiss, gone…
Face so fair, gone…
Beautiful hair, gone…
Arms so comfortable and strong, gone…
Legs so long, gone…
Heart of fire, gone…
Loins of desire, gone…
Thoughts so fine, gone…
Aura divine, gone…

Take the bean-filled paper to a graveyard and bury it at night. Say:

Our love was true,
But it did not last,
Our love is gone,
It is now past.
Joy and peace to you and I.
The flame is gone
And now: good-bye.
Lethe, lethe, lethe.

From The Little Book of Love Spells By Sophia

You will need the following ingredients (be sure to charge or bless them all before you begin):

  • Strawberry tea (one bag)
  • Small wand or stick from a willow tree
  • Sea salt
  • 2 pink candles
  • A mirror
  • One pink drawstring bag
  • One quartz crystal
  • A copper penny
  • A bowl made of china or crystal that is special to you
  • 1 teaspoon dried jasmine
  • 1 teaspoon orris-root powder
  • 1 tsp. strawberry leaves
  • 1 teaspoon yarrow
  • 10 plus drops apple-blossom oil or peach oil
  • 10 plus drops strawberry oil

On a Friday morning or evening (the day sacred to Venus) take a bath in sea salt in the light of a pink candle. As you dry off and dress, sip the strawberry tea. Use a dab of strawberry oil as perfume or cologne. Apply makeup or groom yourself to look your best.

Cast a circle with the willow wand around a table the other ingredients. Light the second pink candle. Mix all oils and herbs in the bowl. While you stir look at yourself in the mirror and say aloud:

“Oh, Great Mother Goddess, enclose me in your loving arms
and nurture and bring forth the Goddess within me.”

Gaze deeply into the mirror after you have finished mixing the ingredients and say aloud:

“I represent the Great Goddess, Mother of all things.
I shine in the light of the Golden Wings of Isis.
All that is great and loving only belongs to me.”

Then put half the mixture in the pink bag and add the penny and crystal. Carry it with you always [or until you find another love]. Leave the other half of the potion in the bowl, out in a room where you will smell the fragrance. Repeat this ritual every Friday if necessary.

Needless to say, you should replace the goddess name with one that you attune to.

This spell seems to be written for a woman. However, that does not truly exclude anyone, including you. As well as calling on the Mother Goddess you can call, as well, the Father God (or Horned One).

You could use something like:

“Great Father God, guide me with your loving will
and keep me strong and patient with your wisdom.
Nurture and bring forth the God within me.”

“I am the Great Father God, Mentor and Father to all,
I shine in the Holy radiant light of Ra.
All that is great and loving, only, belongs to me.”

Now, you can call on one or the other, whomever you feel will help you best. I would think both would be best, but that’s just a personal thing. And if anything written above doesn’t appeal to you, change it. The spell will only work if you feel comfortable with it. If the words don’t appeal, look for a poem, or create your own calling of the GODS. Remember, not only are you calling the Goddess and God, you ARE the Goddess and God.

harmony

Light a candle and say the following:

Goddess please help me to be,
Accepting from others idiosyncrasies.
Let me truly see the value of,
Greeting all with perfect love.
Guide my heart to let others be,
And treasure their individuality.
Each one unique and special find,
A positive thought in my mind.
To always be kind and fair,
So mote it be I now declare.

Each time you say it….
the spell will be stronger.

sunMaterials:
  • 1/2 teaspoon tarragon
  • 1 paper coffee filter
  • 3 family-size tea bags
  • 1 quart cold water
  • Quart jar with screw-on lid
  • Twine or string
Note: This spell invokes the young Sun, and is best performed during the hours of dawn and 9 am.
Sprinkle the tarragon in the center of the coffee filter, then gather the edges to form a bag, and secure well with string. Toss the tea bags and tarragon bag in the jar, fill it with cold wter, screw on the lid, and take it outdoors. Holding the jar up to the Sun, ask His help by saying something like:
O Growing Child – Our Sun and Star –
Cast Your rays both near and far
Upon this tea and bless it well
So that its properties expel
Worn-out notons and perceptions
Old ideas and misconceptions
And as You brew it, please imbue
It with an accepting, tolerant view
Of those things I find so difficult
So its ingestian shall result
In a freedom that I’ve never known
From expectations that I’ve sown
In others’ gardens as they tread
Their personal paths; and please, too, shed
Your light upon me – guide my way –
As I work through this today
Oh Young Child Sun, now hear my plea
And do just what I ask of Thee

Place the jar in a sunny spot and leave it there to brew until sunset. Then remove the bags, dilute if necesssary, sweeten as desired and serve it to those who need it, and drink it yourself.

Being A Witch

We should educate people that ‘Witch’ is not evil but ancient and positive. The first time I called myself a ‘Witch’ was the most magical moment of my life.
