While this spell may not make you actually invisible, it is designed to at least make you go unnoticed.

Begin by creating a mental picture of a black ball suspended in the air around you. As you hold this image in your mind’s eye, picture the ball increasing in size so that it totally envelopes your entire body. Imagine that the outside edges of the black ball are blurring the colors around you and drawing them into the ball. Continue this visualization until your entire surroundings have gone gray and are completely devoid of color.

Continue to hold this image in your mind’s eye as you move about and you will go unnoticed. This is a very difficult spell to master as it requires great concentration. Do not be discouraged if it doesn’t work the first time. Practice makes perfect.

Perform the spell below when you are around other people and you would rather them not notice you. This won’t make you really invisible, like David Copperfield, but it will draw attention away from you and make others seem to not notice you are there at all.

Close your eyes and imagine a sphere of white light around you. Then imagine that the light starts to get blurry. It then takes on the colors and shapes of the environment around you. You fade into the light, becoming a part of it, until you completely disappear into the camouflage of the circle of light around you.

Sometimes spirits attach themselves to an individual rather than merely haunting an area. The spirit may speak through the individual, refusing to leave. Encouraging or forcing them to leave is a shamanic technique. However, should you find yourself dealing with a case of possession without an exorcist in the neighborhood, the following spells may be attempted. In general, you will still need a ritual assistant to help achieve your magickal goals.

Here are some general guidelines:

  • Use intensive cleansing methods to purify the area.
  • In addition to whichever methods are employed ring bells, cymbals and sistra loudly.
  • Invoke benevolent protective spirits, like Archangel Michael, Kwan Yin, and/or Isis.
  • Draw up talismans of protection.
  • Summon the demons demanding that they come forward and depart.
  • Look for signs of departure.
  • Dramatic spirits will let you know they’ve gone. Otherwise use divination techniques to determine whether your methods have been effective or, if not, what further action should be taken.
  • If you’re sure they’ve departed, burn the talismans.
  • Mix a teaspoon of the ashes into cooled boiled spring water. Have the afflicted person drink it.
  • Close the ceremony.

In traditional Chinese belief, what we call demons may actually be a manifestation of excessive Yin energy. This can be neutralized by applying the opposing force: extremely potent yang energy. The following serve as demon/yin repellents:

  • Firecrackers
  • Mirrors
  • The crowing of a rooster
  • Swords

Reading sacred texts and philosophy books is also believed to send malevolent spirits on their merry way because these create order, in which demons (which crave chaos) cannot thrive.

It is also traditionally believed that low-level malevolent spirits can enter the body through food. This is the source of many fairy tales where evil is swallowed. Certain foods guard against this as well as expelling any previously swallowed demons. The most powerful include the following, and can be added to food to expel and also prevent demons:

  • Ginger
  • Garlic

No exorcist available? No friends to help rid you of an unwanted spirit? Do it yourself. Demons reputedly hate the scent of frankincense.

Instructions:

  1. Apply essential oil of frankincense to the crown of the head, the forehead, the back of the neck, the throat, chest, palms of hands and soles of feet. Use individual drops of undiluted essential oil for this purpose.
  2. Now add some essential oil of frankincense to freshly drawn water.
  3. Using a brand new white cloth, bathe all of the above body parts, as well as the genital area.
  4. Repeat Psalm 145 throughout the entire ritual.

Prepare for the ritual in your usual way. According to your personal preference, begin with the following:

  • Ground and Center
  • Cast and Raise circle
  • Call quarters

Invitation to the God:

Lord of the night, join me now in this sacred space.
Your Lady rides high in the sky and soon will be in and of me.
Come now to join me in the ancient holy rites.
So Mote It Be !

Spend a few moments becoming aware of the God presence and light the God candle. Most likely a gold, orange or red candle.

Invitation to the Goddess:

Blessed be Lady Moon, mother of all life.
I invite your presence in my circle tonight.
Join me in the joyous enchantment of this Esbat night.
For behold, I stand here in the light of your love to worship
in the ancient way and to spin moon magick like my ancestors before me,
I seek to invoke your primal creative power, that my rite shall be successful.
Hear me now, my mother, as I bless your bounty and your goodness.
bless me in turn with your eternal tenderness.
wrap me in your warm silvery light.
hold me forever in the protective embrace of your boundless arms.
So Mote It Be!

Spend a few moments connecting with the energies of the full moon and light a Goddess candle, usually silver. Honor with songs, cakes and ale, or special reading. At this time you may perform the Drawing Down the Moon ritual or any other magickal workings.

When you are complete, release the god and goddess and thank them for their help and attendance. Release the quarters. Lower and open the circle:

The circle is open
but never broken,
So Mote It Be!

  • Symbols: Falling Stars; Sweetgrass; Peace Pipe
  • Presiding Goddess: Wohpe

About Wohpe:

This Lakota goddess’s name literally means “meteor.” Among the Lakota she is considered the most beautiful of all goddesses. She generates harmony and unity through the peace pipe, and pleasure from the smoke of sweetgrass. Stories also tell us that she measured time and created the seasons so people could know when to perform sacred rituals. When a meteor falls from the sky, it is Wohpe mediating on our behalf.

To Do Today:

Go stargazing! At this time of year, meteors appear in the region of the Perseids, as they have since first spotted in 800 Ad. People around the world can see these, except for those who live at the South Pole. If you glimpse a shooting star, tell Wohpe what message you want her to take back to heaven for you.

To generate Wohpe’s peace between yourself and another (or a group of people) get some sweetgrass (or lemon grass) and burn it on any safe fire source. As you do, visualize the person or people with whom you hope to create harmony. Blow the smoke in the direction where this person lives, saying:

Wohpe, hear my message sure;
keep my intentions ever pure.
Where anger dwells, let there be peace.
May harmony never cease.

Afterword make an effort to get a hold of that person and reopen the lines of communication.

Being A Witch

We should educate people that ‘Witch’ is not evil but ancient and positive. The first time I called myself a ‘Witch’ was the most magical moment of my life.
