Okay, you just had a date that was a huge disaster, the Titanic of all dates. Such a date leaves a huge psychic slime stain. This spell will cleanse your aura and remove any ugly traces.
You will need:
- Some salt (sea salt or rock salt)
- a good broom
- a dustpan
First, take off all the clothes you wore on the date. Throw them in the washer, and toss in some of the salt with the soap. Then scatter salt about your house or apartment saying:
Out, out
Throughout and about,
All good come in
All evil stay out!
Then take a shower and place a fist-full of salt on your head. Close your eyes. Let the salt dissolve in the water and run down your body, saying:
Out, out, Throughout and about,
All good come in,
All evil stay out!
Dry off and get dressed. Sweep your house, collecting all the salt you tossed around in the dustpan. Empty the dustpan out a window or door saying:
Out out,
Throughout and about,
Friends come in,
(date’s name) stay out!
He’s history…Anything he/she sends, return it with salt on it. Forget about him/her!

You would be surprised by the amount of negative energy that lives in your home. The more you refuse to let go and remove it, the worse you will feel.
When our homes are overwhelmed with negative energies we will feel stressed and uneasy on a much deeper level than normal. That being said, removing those negative energies is a lot simpler than you might think. To be completely honest, getting rid of them is a lot easier than preventing them from entering your home.
Below you will find the best method I have found in more recent times in regards to removing negative energies. This is easy and effective if you are dealing with what you think are negative energies this is worth trying. If after the first day you don’t notice a change, negative energies might not be the problem you are facing.

Sea Salt Water Room Cleanse
Ingredients:
- 2 Tablespoons of Vinegar
- 2/3 Tablespoons of Sea Salt
- 1 Full Glass of Water
- 4 Drops of White Sage Oil
Note: Frankincense or clove oil can be substituted if need be
Instructions:
First, pour the sea salt into your empty glass and fill the glass with the water. Once you have done this add in the vinegar and then the white sage oil. You do not have to mix this, just leave it as it is and place it in your room or make multiple glasses and place one in each room for a full house cleanse. Leave each glass for a full 24 hours and then check to see if you notice a difference in appearance. Be sure no one has moved or even touched the glass at all.
If the water has not changed at all, then that room is clear of negative energy but if it has changed be it in color or just a slight texture difference that is observable pour the glass outside at least a good ten feet from your home and do this again in the same room until you no longer notice a difference. Usually, in rooms with lots of negative energies, you may have to do it for a full week. This works because the white sage oil is able to remove negativity and the other ingredients work together to amplify this, sea salt also works to absorb the negative energies being pushed into it. All of these things make up a wonderful negative energy fighting team.
Now, the reason why we do not flush this water or merely wash it down the sink is because when you do that you are leaving residual negative energies behind in the pouring process. By taking the glass of negativity outside and pouring it away from your home you are removing the negativity completely and giving it back to Mother Earth so that she can transform it into something positive on her own time. I also would suggest bringing a fresh glass of clean water with a positive affirmation over it to pour on top to ensure that the negative energies begin their transformation quickly.
I hope that this helped you in some way. While it may sound a bit crazy I promise you this has worked wonders in my home. I did this for a full week and now my home feels much more open and less tense. Once you do this I strongly recommend doing it once a month as to continue to remove negative energies so that they do not get built up to that same degree again. What do you think, will you be giving this a try?

Here is a simple spell using the cleansing, purifying power of rain:
With water colors or chalk, draw or write the bad habit on a piece of paper. Immediately take it out into the rain. Let the rain dissolve and disperse the water colors or chalk. So shall your habit dissolve, cleansed by the sanctifying rain.

Yule is a good time to chase out ill-meaning wights like mischievous elves, dwarves, and trolls. Though it’s said that wights are who they are, and some serve a purpose, some are just trolls – ugly dwarves or fiends – and unpredictable… and sending them back to where they came from is good for both them and us.
Here’s what one family does:
Towards the end of the night of our Yule Feast, we grab our large family Thor’s Hammer (He likes to chase Trolls), and a fire source such as a candle, and some noise makers, like drums that can sound like the thunder Thor is known for.
We then form a procession to go through the house waving the hammer and fire while drumming and rattling and shouting, “Out Trolls, out Trolls!” to scare these ill meaning wights out of the house.
Another Version:
This version of the chasing out that comes from an Icelandic custom called “bidding the alfs to home”…
The house-mother would sweep everywhere, in every corner, then kindle lights all through the house, wherever their might be a shadow. She then went out and around the dwelling, some say three times, and spoke,
‘Come, those who wish to come;
stay those who wish to stay;
and fare, those who wish to fare,
harmless to me and mine.’

There are quite a few steps to this ritual, and that is one of the things that makes it special.
If you are worried about “not having the right materials”, do not worry. You can substitute as you need, and use symbolism as you need (for example, if you don’t have a yule log, use a fallen tree branch, some twigs, etc…)
Preparations:
Take a warm bath with cinnamon, mint and rose petals to improve psychic awareness. Relax… let the warm sooth you, and consume you.
Decorate the sacred space with gold and silver spheres to represent the returning sun, and wreaths to symbolize the turning Wheel.
Have oak shavings ready as a base for your incense. Add any other personally meaningful herbs to this mixture and start burning it before the invocation to help prepare the sacred space.
Finally, put a candle representing the sun at the southern point of the circle.
Cover the altar with a pale green cloth – the color of early sprouts, which represents continuance. Add red berries for life’s blood; holly; ivy; and pine branches as a symbol of longevity. The pine also welcomes sylvan spirits to your circle.
Have a Yule log at the center point, placing there your God and Goddess candles. Always keep a part of the candles or the log itself for future years; this brings good luck, life, health and providence.
The Ritual
Take up your Athame, butter knife, or finger and Cast the Circle starting in the West, the region where several cultures believe the afterlife resides, the direction of the Dying Sun.
Take a moment to center yourself and begin to cast the Circle. Visualize a white light coming from the tip of the Athame and with arms straight out, turn the blade point out, slowly turning clockwise the light following you.
When you return to the West bring the athamé back to you and say: “As above, so below.” As you say this, visualize the light going above you and below you forming a perfect sphere.
Light the Goddess candle in the Yule log, then move to the Northern point in your Circle. This is the quarter traditionally ascribed to the season of winter.
- Face North and say:
“Ancient Mother, I look for your opulence, but tonight naught but barren trees decorate the land. In this restful moment, let my spirit find healing.”
- Face East and say:
“Ancient Brother, I listen for your winds, but tonight they are still. In this quiet darkness, help me find inspiration.”
- Face South and say:
“Ancient Father, I look for your fires, but tonight the embers only begin to glow more brightly. May this gentle warmth temper my spirit.”
- Face West and say:
“Ancient Sister, I seek your glistening tears, but tonight they are frozen. Beneath this cool blanket, let my emotions find stability.”
- Face center and say:
“Ancient Ones, I seek Your face, but tonight darkness surrounds. Help me find Your spark within to guide my path.”
Sit and close your eyes. Let any remaining tension drain away, then begin listening to the sound of silence. Smell the aromas of oak and herb. Feel the latent energy of everything around you and the magic you’ve placed there. Know it as your own.
Listen to your breath and your heartbeat. Sense the pulse and ebb within as the same energy without. Listen closely; does it whisper a message to you? Does it whisper a name? Do you hear the cry of an animal? Do you hear words that fill you with energy? Linger in this place between Earth and stars until you receive a message. Then return to normal levels of awareness, and write of this experience in your journal.
Turn toward the northern part of your circle.
Think of things that you want to banish, such as bad habits. Say:
“I call to the darkness. Come embrace my __________ (fill in with your negative characteristics).”
Take them to yourself. I release them. As the sun climbs in the sky, take these things with you in retreat, never to return to me again.”
Turn to the south of the circle, light the sun candle, and repeat this chant. Let it naturally grow to fill the entire space with positive vibrations:
“Strong sun, returning sun; the light burns as the Wheel turns. Strong sun, returning sun; the shadows fade; my magic bade. Strong sun, returning sun; the shadows flee, the magic is free!”
Return to the altar now and light the God candle, using the Goddess candle as a fire source (symbolic of the womb).
“Sun Father, Your journey has left you weary. May this light give you strength to reach toward the heavens again with warmth and brilliance.”
After saying so, go through your home and light all its candles, lamps, flashlights, or decorative lights to represent the sun’s return.
- Face West and say:
“Spirit of the West, thank you for cleansing body, mind, and spirit. As you go from this place, likewise purify Earth.”
- Face South and say:
“Spirit of the South, thank you for this warmth of body, mind and spirit. As you go from this place, likewise generate love on Earth.”
- Face East and say:
“Spirit of the East, thank you for this stillness of body, mind and spirit. As you go from this place, likewise bring peace to Earth.”
- Face North and say:
“Spirit of the North, thank you for healing me in body, mind, and spirit. As you go from this place, likewise heal Earth.”
- Face Center and say:
“Ancient Ones, thank you for turning the Wheel that enlightens body, mind, and spirit. As you go from this place, likewise edify Earth.”

Here is a fun way to gather the family in a simply beautiful Yule project and ritual. With supervision, most children can easily make this themselves; it makes a fun family project.
1. Gather your favorite evergreens. Choose a few cuttings each from such winter favorites as holly with berries, juniper with berries, cedar, spruce, or pine needles. If available, add a few tiny birch pine cones as well (these are one inch or less).
2. Pour water into a three-inch deep rectangular plastic (flexible) container, half full. Place three to six naturally scented beeswax, soy, or essential oil scented candles into the container. The candles should be four inches tall and three to four inches wide.
3. Add the evergreens and berries to the container in a pleasing arrangement around the candles. Cover the greens with more water so they’ll appear to float once frozen. Be careful not to over fill; the plastic container should be two-thirds full of water in the end.
4. Place in the freezer until frozen (or outdoors if it’s cold enough). Freeze until solid.
5. Slide out the rectangular ice block with the evergreens and candles frozen inside. Turn onto a fireproof plate (a high-fired glazed ceramic plate would serve well) or an old cookie sheet covered with foil. You can accentuate the display by placing polished stones or polished glass beads around the edges of the ice.
6. Light the candles. Say a winter prayer, offer a blessing, and be thankful to our essential elements of fire, water, air, and earth.
Here are a few more ideas for this Fire and Ice project.

Here is a great winter solstice ritual to bring in the unconquered sun. It’s very powerful, and requires no special ingredients.
About an hour before sunrise, plant yourself outside, preferably on a hill, or the top of a building. Face the direction where the sun will rise and begin to call the sun. Forcefully project the sound so that you imagine your body shaking; then the room or space where you are shakes; then the world, and finally the whole universe – by which time, you should be sweating. Eventually, you will feel that the sound is coming through, rather than from you.
Names or mantras you can use include the following:
- Shamash (Babylonian)
- Amun Ra (Egyptian)
- Sulis (Celtic)
- Helios (Greek)
- Surya (Vedic)
- Sol Invictus (Roman)
- Inti (Incan)
If it feels more comfortable, you can preface the name with “Hail, Hello, Wake Up,” or something similar. It may also help to begin the call more quietly, and gradually increasing the volume as you grow more comfortable with it.
When the edge of the sun becomes visible above the horizon, drop into a prayer position and remain so until the sun is completely risen. In the event of a cloudy morning, when the sky begins to brighten, you can imagine that the sun is becoming visible.
Note: This is something really powerful to do as a group.
Kwan Yin is the Goddess of Mercy.
Here is a simple ritual to invoke her blessings:
- Set up your altar with a picture of Kwan Yin and either a stick or a cone of lotus incense.
- Bow 3 times to Kwan Yin
- Offer one or more glasses of water which Kwan Yin will bless.
Invite Kwan Yin to come to you and appear. Bring the palms of your hands together as if in prayer. Recite the following:

May the Light of Kwan Yin be in my soul!
May the Wisdom of Kwan Yin be in my mind!
May the Virtue and Purity of Kwan Yin be in my feelings!
May the Strength and Vitality of Kwan Yin be among the members of my household!
May the Health and Well-Being of Kwan Yin be manifest through out my body, and radiate through the garments I wear!
May the Grace of Kwan Yin be in my worship!
May the Talents and Genius of Kwan Yin be manifest through my senses!
May the Peace of Kwan Yin be upon me”
Recite the following short mantra 10 times:
Na Mo Kwan Yin Boddhisattva.
Finally, drink the water blessed by Kwan Yin. This water now has healing powers.
Dedicate this practice of the Kwan Yin Great compassion Mantra to the benefit and enlightenment of all beings.
Close your shrine in whatever way feels appropriate.

The purpose of a ritual bath is to cleanse Yourself, both inside and out. It is a rite in and of itself. Here is a general outline of what a ritual bath might consist of:
- The bath water can be infused with salts, herbs, oils that are in harmony with your purpose.
- Candles are lit – these too are chosen for color and scent that are appropriate to the moment. Also to set the mood and create an atmosphere of sacred mystery.
- Incense might be burned as well, to infuse the room with a specific aroma, to cleanse the room with the smoke, or as a fragrant offering to a deity.
- Music can be used to aid with meditation or visualization.
- Holy Water (if you have it) can be added to the bath water, or used as a rinse when the bath is complete.
- Some people like to have a glass of wine to drink and offer as an offering or libation to a chosen Deity.
- Try to include each of the four elements. Fire (candle, heated water), Earth (salt, herbs), Air (incense, aroma),
- Water (the bath itself). Think about them as you use, light, or immerse yourself in them.
Suggested Procedure:
When you light the candle, visualize the element of fire blessing you with warmth and light. When you light the incense, again, visualize the fire element. Then, as the smoke begins to rise gently blow the smoke and concentrate on the element of air that breathes through you to gently move the fragrant smoke, Turn on the water, and think about water, how it moves in the oceans, falls from the sky, and is now here – for you. Add your bath ingredients to the water as it flows into the tub, remembering the precious earth that nurtured the plants, and upon which you now stand.
As you lower yourself into the bath, relax and enjoy the warmth of the water and the scents in the air. If you have music playing, allow yourself to drift in the melodies. Relax and totally open yourself so that any negativity, sorrow, angst, worry, anxiety, anger, stress… etc… can be released. Just let it all go.
When you feel you are ready, pull the plug and stay in the tub until all the water has drained. As the water is draining visualize and know that the negative energies that are now in the water are going into the Earth and are grounded. If you did not add Holy Water to the bath, you can pour it on yourself now.
When you rise up out of the tub, you can do a self blessing. Here’s a really simple one that feels really good, especially if you say it several times:
I bless myself
I bless myself
I am
I am
If you have a chosen deity that has been invited to or invoked as part of your ritual, you can change the above blessing to fit. For example: “She blesses me, She blesses me, I am, I am”
If you have wine, and wish to do so, now is the time to pour a libation to the Deity and drink some of the wine. Then dry yourself off, clean up the bathroom, take the remaining libation outside to return it to the earth. And the rite is ended.
