This is a great spell for helping you diminish any debts you may have incurred, including those standard monthly debts otherwise known as bills.

The word abracadabra is extremely ancient and can be a powerful invocation to rid oneself of sickness and poverty. In this spell, we are going to use it to diminish bills and debt.

As soon as any bill comes in, write the following on the envelope:

ABRACADABRA
ABRACADABR
ABRACADAB
ABRACADA
ABRACAD
ABRACA
ABRAC
ABRA
ABR
AB
A

Now turn the bill over and write the full amount that you owe in that same diminishing way. For example:

$30480.00
$30480.0
$30480
$3048
$304
$30
$3
$

Put your bill into a large manila envelope until you are ready to pay it. The envelope can be decorated with symbols, images, and/or affirmations that represent “diminishing”. For example: a picture of the waning moon, the words “I release and I let go”, the abracadabra, or whatever feels appropriate.

At the end of the month, or whenever a particular bill is paid. Roll the envelope up that it came in, sprinkle it with vinegar and burn it.

Pow-Wow strongly incorporates the use of spoken charms. This one is used to soothe a threatening dog and provide protection – excellent for those forced to walk past a snarling, snapping canine.

The charm must be repeated three times before you reach the dog (or the dog reaches you!)

Dog, hold thy nose to the ground!
God has made thee, me and hound.

Then form the sign of the cross three times.

GnomeAccording to the 16th century Swiss alchemist Paracelsus, the gnome is able to move through earth in the same manner that a fish swims through water or a human walks through air. Gnomes are associated with the fey, or fairy-folk, and are equated with earthly treasures, earth consciousness, and great knowledge of the magick in rocks, caves, roots, gems, and mountains.

Because gnomes can move through earth like fish swim through water, one can turn to the gnomes to move a block of earth energy within oneself, or a block placed in our path by another.

This spell is particularly good when things have been moving along just fine for you, you’ve been recovering from your debts, sailing ahead and suddenly – thwack! You run into some sort of a block. Before you spend days, weeks, or months worrying, try this spell.

Supplies:

  • 1 cup dirt
  • A sieve
  • A handful (up to 1/2 oz) of ginger or dragon’s blood herb

Instructions:

Over a paper towel or bowl, pour the cup of dirt into the sieve. Add the ginger (or dragon’s blood)

Say:

Element of earth,
move the mountain of ___________ (state what is stuck)

As the ginger (or dragon’s blood) mixes with the earth,
so shall the blocks in my life
be broken gently apart and removed,
so that I may prosper.

As the dirt shakes out of the sieve, visualize the financial problems in your life breaking up and dissolving. Once all the dirt is through the sieve, turn the sieve over and tap it seven times to remove any excess dirt.

Carry the dirt to a crossroads at midnight and dump it there, once again asking the element of earth to gently disperse the negativity in your life with harm to none.

Wash the sieve, asking the element of water to gently cleanse your situation.

Supplies:

  • A thin spindle (the kind they stick cash register receipts on)
  • 3 one dollar bills (higher denominations are OK too – just be aware that you won’t be using them unless you have a “money emergency”)
  • Powdered Cinnamon
  • Prosperity oil

Instructions:

Dip the tip of the spindle into the prosperity oil. Place one dollar bill on the spindle. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Hold your hands over the dollar bill and say:

Veiled Fortuna, Goddess of luck,
sweet sister of fortune
spinner of the Wheel of Destiny
grant me the gift of prosperity.
Bring me the blessings of positive abundance.
With harm to none, so mote it be.

Place the second dollar bill on top of the first. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Hold your hands over the bills and say:

Spirits of Earth, element of prosperity,
strong Mother of my fortune,
grant me the gift of unlimited resources.
Bring me the blessings of positive abundance.
With harm to none, so mote it be.

Place the third dollar bill on top of the second. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Hold your hands over the bills and say:

I am fortunate.
I am successful.
I am positive abundance.
I am prosperity!

Every evening, before you go to bed, add a dollar bill or two to the pile. Don’t forget to sprinkle with cinnamon, and say the last affirmation:

I am prosperity!

When your spindle is full, remove all but the last dollar and start over again. The “spindle” money can be placed in a special savings account to used for special projects, or it can be saved in a “magical money box” and saved for a rainy day. As the money on the spindle increases, so will your personal finances.

If you find that you must use the dollars on the spindle for some unforeseen emergency, be sure to leave the first dollar. If something happens, and you spend that first dollar, you will need to do the spell again.

Silver’s Spells for Prosperity by Silver Raven Wolf

You will need paper, pencil (a pen won’t do), and a nice big eraser. A white vanilla scented candle.

800px-Faber-Castell_pencil_and_eraser

Step 1: Light the candle, and then think of one thing in yourself that keeps you from trusting or maybe even hearing your inner voice, your own opinions, your own hopes and dreams.

Step 2: With your pencil, write a description of your block on the piece of white paper.

Step 3: Think about this block for a while, and all the ways in which your life would be improved if it could only be erased.

Step 4: Pick up the eraser, and begin to erase what you wrote on the paper. As you are erasing, say the following prayer three times:

Lady, cleanse me of this block.
Help me know through and through that:
the earth has wisdom, my body has wisdom,
a tree has wisdom, my heart has wisdom,
a bird has wisdom, my mind has wisdom,
Lady, cleanse me of this block.

Help me realize:
an ocean holds knowledge, just so does my mind
a fox has wiles, just so am I wily;
a child knows God, and so do I.
Help me find my innate wisdom and knowledge.

Lady, cleanse me of this block.
Help me know of these things:
common sense feeds the soul;
lyrical mysticism and visionary hope
belong in the everyday world;
I can grow and stretch a bit spiritually, every day.

Step 5: If any smudges or pencil marks remain on the paper, if any trace of the original writing can still be seen, take the pencil now and turn them into stars, spirals, flowers, and suns. When there is no trace left of what you originally wrote, the ritual is complete. Snuff the candle and say:

Thank you Goddess.

Find a tall sturdy tree that looks healthy and strong. Circle the tree nine times clockwise, asking it to ease your pain, using a chant such as this one:

O great tree, O strong tree,
Absorb my pain so I’ll be free.

Lay back against the tree’s firm, solid trunk; press your back into the bark. Feel the tree absorbing the pain as your back releases it into the tree. After a few minutes, rise and thank the tree by burying something precious at its foot.

Pirates-Buried-With-Their-Treasures

Account of an Experienced Fortune Hunter, How Treasures Beneath the Earth Rise and Fall.

If one is contemplating to dig up a treasure, he should above all other things know, whenever the treasure stands highest to rise with the sun and return again with the sinking of the same. If the treasure happens to be hidden in an open field, the affair will soon be righted by digging around, crosswise, or undermining, so that the treasure can be reached from below, but one must not be tardy in constructing the posts or galleries in order to prop the treasure in time, because the digger might otherwise be buried underneath the falling heap. But, if it can be so conducted that the sun can shine crosswise under the treasure, it may be raised, since the goblins of the earth have no longer the power to remove the same.

Many good fortune spells feature seaweeds like bladderwrack and agar-agar, both popularly known as Sea Spirit. Seaweeds, in general, are perceived as auspicious; other species such as kelp and dulse may be easier to obtain, along with other seaweeds associated with Japanese cuisine or nutritional supplements.

Simply place the seaweed in a jar and cover with sake or whiskey. Keep the covered jar in the kitchen to magickally attract good fortune.

Note: For this spell, seaweed may be fresh or dried, but tablets may not be substituted.
