Banishing Spells

Here is a really simple spell to remove obstacles by tapping in to the power of the setting sun.

You will need:

  • A handful of sand or dry dirt

Holding the sand in your hand, face the setting Sun and ask His assistance by saying something like:

Ancient Sun, with Your last breath
Send obstacles now to their death
Destroy all fences, break all locks,
Rid me of all stumbling blocks
Bring them all to swift demise
So they can no longer rise
And hold me back from what I need
Or my ability to succeed
Crumble them just as this dust
So I move onward as I must.

Turn in a counterclockwise circle three times, while seeing obstacles being reduced to nothingness. Then, facing the Sun again, blow the sand from your hand. Know that the Sun will handle the problem.

Vampires, like genies, may be trapped in bottles. Choose a glass or metal bottle, presumably the vampire can bite through a plastic one. This spell works on the same principle as a fly-trap.

Here’s how it works:

Place some kind of food the vampire likes inside the bottle, but not blood. This spell works on a vampire who is understood to have once been a regular person with predilections for human food. Find something particularly tempting and put it in the bottle.

You will know when the vampire is in the bottle when you observe a bit of straw or fluff within. Seal the bottle up securely.

The bottle and the vampire may be destroyed by throwing the sealed bottle into a fire. If it is a clear glass bottle, it can be left in the sun with the lid off. The sunlight should soon turn the vampire into ash.

May 26 is World Dracula Day, and a celebration of vampires. So, I thought it might be good to post some Vampire Banishing Spells. It is said that peppermint repels vampires just as effectively as garlic, and can be easier to administer. The addition of garlic to the peppermint gives an added boost.

  • Hang fresh peppermint leaves around one’s neck at bedtime. This is also reputed to have an aphrodisiac effect, so maybe you’ll be too busy to worry about the vampires. 🙂
  • Grind dried peppermint leaves and garlic cloves together, forming a powder. Place some of this powder in a bag and wear around your neck. This is no longer an aphrodisiac. 🙁
  • Make a powder by grinding dried peppermint and garlic together. Cast a circle with this powder around your bed just before bedtime. It is said that infernal beings will not enter this circle.
  • Add essential oil of peppermint to a vial of grapeseed oil. Keep the bottle beside your bed. Anoint your neck with the oil before retiring for the night or as needed.

With World Dracula Day coming up on May 26, I thought it might be good to post some Vampire Banishing Spells. Of course these can be used any time of the year that you feel they might be needed.

Banishing Spell #1

This spell is for the Obsessive-Compulsive Vampire. Place fishing nets over entrance doors and windows of the place you’d like to protect. Allegedly the vampire must compulsively count all knots before entering. He or she will either be caught in the sunlight or simply give up and find another home.

Fishing nets may be replaced or supplemented with sieves; the vampire will be forced to count the holes instead.

Banishing Spell #2

Lilac oil reputedly repels vampires and is certainly more fragrant than garlic. It’s very difficult to find real lilac oil, most of what is commercially available is synthetic; presumably vampires can tell the difference. So it’s best to make your own, the lingering aroma should keep the vampire out of the house, too.

Infuse olive oil with lilac blossoms. Rub the oil on the body as needed.

Banishing Spell #3

To banish a vampire from territory larger than just your private home and presence is simple enough… provided you have his sock.

The vampire’s left sock is specifically needed. Stuff it with graveyard dirt, preferably from his or her own grave, blended with rocks from the cemetery. Toss this into running water outside the limits of the area you wish to protect.

Important note:

Make sure the water is flowing away from, rather than in to, the area you are protecting.

  • Cut an apple in half horizontally, so that the star in the center is exposed.
  • Rub one half of the apple with a mint leaf while visualizing what needs to be banished.
  • Write your problem on a slip of paper.
  • Dip the paper into essential oil of mint and place it between the apple halves.
  • Put the two halves of the apple back together again with a skewer…so they remain joined.
  • Tie the pieces securely together with black silk or satin ribbon.
  • Bury the apple. Your problem will dissipate as the apple rots…

You Will Need:

  • One black candle
  • A candleholder
  • Matches
  • Black or white pepper
  • Salt
  • A carving tool
  • Anointing oil (this can be any kind of oil you prefer)

Begin by slowly sprinkling salt in a counterclockwise circle around you and your work area, visualize the salt creating a barrier, protecting you during your ritual. Call the target of your banishing spell to mind and carve your intention into the candle. For example, you might carve “Mark will never speak to me again” or “My anxiety is gone”. You may also wish to carve a banishing sigil into your candle.

You can create your own sigil, or if you need some ideas, here are some examples:

When you’ve finished, anoint your candle with the oil and sprinkle the pepper over it. Set the candle into your candle holder and light it, speaking your intention aloud. If it feels good you can turn your intention into a mantra to chant while the candle burns.

Allow the candle to burn itself out, this should be done on a fireproof surface and again, away from pets. Depending on your choice of candle, it may take several hours to completely burn. Do not leave your candle unattended!

If you don’t wish to burn the entire candle you can carve a line halfway or a third of the way down the candle and confine your spell carving to the top portion. This can be tricky if you use a taper candle, be gentle so as not to snap it. When the candle burns to this line you may blow it out and reserve the rest of the candle for another banishing spell.

You will need:

  • 1 Tumbled or raw Citrine Crystal
  • 1 Yellow Candle

Light the candle, hold the stone in your dominant hand. Call upon Archangel Michael and ask him to clear all the unhealthy energetic cords that are between you and the person (you know who he or she is).

Now focus on your Solar Plexus Chakra (3 inches above the navel) and the Solar plexus Chakra of the person you are working on and visualize Archangel Michael cutting the cords (you can even use your hand as a virtual scissor and act like you are really cutting the cords and Archangel Michael is helping you with it, either way is fine). Place your virtual scissor right at your Solar Plexus Chakra and cut it thrice.

By cutting the cords you are not cutting any relationship with that person but you are clearing away all the unhealthy negative energies like co-dependency, jealousy, possessiveness that are tied to you. Once the cords are cut you will enjoy a healthy relationship and you no longer absorb that person’s energy.

You can do this exercise whenever you feel its required. If you are an Empath its even more important to do this exercise because you tend to pick up people’s energies easily.

Okay, you just had a date that was a huge disaster, the Titanic of all dates. Such a date leaves a huge psychic slime stain. This spell will cleanse your aura and remove any ugly traces.

You will need:

  • Some salt (sea salt or rock salt)
  • a good broom
  • a dustpan

First, take off all the clothes you wore on the date. Throw them in the washer, and toss in some of the salt with the soap. Then scatter salt about your house or apartment saying:

Out, out
Throughout and about,
All good come in
All evil stay out!

Then take a shower and place a fist-full of salt on your head. Close your eyes. Let the salt dissolve in the water and run down your body, saying:

Out, out, Throughout and about,
All good come in,
All evil stay out!

Dry off and get dressed. Sweep your house, collecting all the salt you tossed around in the dustpan. Empty the dustpan out a window or door saying:

Out out,
Throughout and about,
Friends come in,
(date’s name) stay out!

He’s history…Anything he/she sends, return it with salt on it. Forget about him/her!

Here is a simple spell using the cleansing, purifying power of rain:

With water colors or chalk, draw or write the bad habit on a piece of paper. Immediately take it out into the rain. Let the rain dissolve and disperse the water colors or chalk. So shall your habit dissolve, cleansed by the sanctifying rain.

Yule is a good time to chase out ill-meaning wights like mischievous elves, dwarves, and trolls. Though it’s said that wights are who they are, and some serve a purpose, some are just trolls – ugly dwarves or fiends – and unpredictable… and sending them back to where they came from is good for both them and us.

Here’s what one family does:

Towards the end of the night of our Yule Feast, we grab our large family Thor’s Hammer (He likes to chase Trolls), and a fire source such as a candle, and some noise makers, like drums that can sound like the thunder Thor is known for.

We then form a procession to go through the house waving the hammer and fire while drumming and rattling and shouting, “Out Trolls, out Trolls!” to scare these ill meaning wights out of the house.

Another Version:

This version of the chasing out that comes from an Icelandic custom called “bidding the alfs to home”…

The house-mother would sweep everywhere, in every corner, then kindle lights all through the house, wherever their might be a shadow. She then went out and around the dwelling, some say three times, and spoke,

‘Come, those who wish to come;
stay those who wish to stay;
and fare, those who wish to fare,
harmless to me and mine.’
