The origins of this love spell are obscure, but there is a litany in archaic Italian of which I have provided an English translation. It is a ritual that requires a bit of effort and a lot of herbal materials as well as a profound belief in its success. Otherwise, its nothing more than empty words. The materials can be obtained readily in any food store, herb market or metaphysical supply store.
Herbal Mixture:
- 3 parts lavender
- 3 parts damiana
- 3 parts patchouly
- 1 part Dragon’s blood resin
- 13 gardenia petals
- 4 parts red clover
- 3 Saw Palmetto Berries
- 3 parts peppermint
- 3 parts Rue
- 13 drops of your favorite perfume
Other Materials Needed:
- Frankincense incense (stick or resin)
- Mortar and Pestle (for grinding herbs)
- Small red drawstring bag or square of red fabric with red thread or cord
THE SPELL
Prepare space to work in by making sure the area is clean and the floors swept. Meditate on power, success and love, and begin by slowly grinding the herbs in a clockwise movement in the mortar and pestle. Do not add the oils at this time. Stirring the herbs in a clockwise direction with your finger, slowly add the oil mixture until it is well blended. Hold the bowl in your hand and enchant with the words:
Diana, bella Diana!
Che tanto bella e buona siei,
E tanto ti e piacere
Ti ho fatto,
Anche a te di fare al amore,
Dunque spero che anche in questa cosa
Tu mi voglia aiutare,
E se tu vorrai
Tutto tu portrai,
Se questa grazia mi vorrai fare:
Chiamerai tua figlia Aradia,
Al letto della bella fanciulla
La mandera Aradia,
La fanciulla in una canina cinertira,
Alla camera mia la mandera,

TRANSLATION:
Diana, beautiful Diana
Who art indeed as good as beautiful
By all the worship I have given thee
and all the joy of love which thou hast known
I do implore thee aid me in my love!
What thou wilt is true
Thou canst ever do
And if the grace I seek thou’ll grant to me,
Then call, I pray, thy daughter Aradia,
and send her to the bedside of the man/woman
And give that man/woman the likeness of a dog
and make him/her then come to me in my room
but when he/she once has entered it, I pray
that he/she may re-assume her human form
as beautiful as ever he/she was before
and may I then make love to him/her until
our souls with joy are fully satisfied
Then by the aid of the great Faery Queen
and of her daughter, fair Aradia
may he/she be turned into a dog again
and then to human form as once before
Draw a bath, and light fresh incense. Place the herbal/oil mixture into the red bag, or tie it up in the red cloth spuare. Submerge it into the bath water, and let it steep while you inhale the incense and focus on your desire. Enter the bath slowly, feeling the tingling of the bath on your entire body as you do. Take a deep breath, filling your lungs to capacity, and submerge yourself completely under the water.
While underwater, exhale all of the air completely out of your lungs, and visualize any obstacles in the way of your success with this spell leaving your body with the air. Do this three times. Let the water run out of the tub while you are lying in it, and do not get out until all of the water has drained. Let your body dry naturally; do not use a towel. When your body is completely dry, dress yourself and apply your favorite fragrance that was used in the herbal mixture. Leave your home and go out for the evening.
Within 28 days, you will have attracted attract the perfect lover.

It is never a good idea to work magic to make a particular person love you. First because it interferes with that person’s free will, and is thus against the Wiccan Rede. Secondly, because you will never know if they love you for yourself or because of your magic, which, in the long term, will be self-destructive. It is however, perfectly alright to work to bring love into your life.
This spell is most effective when worked on a Friday when the energies of Venus are strongest. Take a pink candle and carefully inscribe your initials into it about half way down. Surround the letters with 7 carefully engraved hearts.
Anoint this with 7 drops of Rose oil and place it in a secure holder surrounded by 7 small pieces of Rose Quartz. (Many rock and gemstone supplier sell bags of mixed stone chips, and if you know your stones, these are excellent for working spells.)
Before you light the candle, close your eyes and visualize the Goddess Venus standing before you, ask her to bring love to you and then light the candle. Keep it close to you whilst it burns. Ensure you have enough time to let it burn all the way down, without having to leave it unattended.
When your candle has burnt all the way down take the pieces of Rose Quartz and anoint each one with a drop of Rose oil and wrap them in a pink cloth. Tie this tightly with gold thread and carry it with you for a full cycle of the Moon, 29 days.

Prick a red apple full of holes with a needle, invoking the name and image of your beloved as you pierce. Sleep with this apple between your legs, as high as you like. The next day, dress the apple with honey and sprinkle it with cinnamon. Place it on an altar dedicated to Aphrodite and/or surround the apple with burning red candles.
When the candles have burned down, incorporate this apple into pie, cake, or pastry and serve to the one you love.
You Will Need:
- One black candle
- A candleholder
- Matches
- Black or white pepper
- Salt
- A carving tool
- Anointing oil (this can be any kind of oil you prefer)
Begin by slowly sprinkling salt in a counterclockwise circle around you and your work area, visualize the salt creating a barrier, protecting you during your ritual. Call the target of your banishing spell to mind and carve your intention into the candle. For example, you might carve “Mark will never speak to me again” or “My anxiety is gone”. You may also wish to carve a banishing sigil into your candle.
You can create your own sigil, or if you need some ideas, here are some examples:
When you’ve finished, anoint your candle with the oil and sprinkle the pepper over it. Set the candle into your candle holder and light it, speaking your intention aloud. If it feels good you can turn your intention into a mantra to chant while the candle burns.
Allow the candle to burn itself out, this should be done on a fireproof surface and again, away from pets. Depending on your choice of candle, it may take several hours to completely burn. Do not leave your candle unattended!
If you don’t wish to burn the entire candle you can carve a line halfway or a third of the way down the candle and confine your spell carving to the top portion. This can be tricky if you use a taper candle, be gentle so as not to snap it. When the candle burns to this line you may blow it out and reserve the rest of the candle for another banishing spell.

You will need:
- 1 Tumbled or raw Citrine Crystal
- 1 Yellow Candle
Light the candle, hold the stone in your dominant hand. Call upon Archangel Michael and ask him to clear all the unhealthy energetic cords that are between you and the person (you know who he or she is).
Now focus on your Solar Plexus Chakra (3 inches above the navel) and the Solar plexus Chakra of the person you are working on and visualize Archangel Michael cutting the cords (you can even use your hand as a virtual scissor and act like you are really cutting the cords and Archangel Michael is helping you with it, either way is fine). Place your virtual scissor right at your Solar Plexus Chakra and cut it thrice.
By cutting the cords you are not cutting any relationship with that person but you are clearing away all the unhealthy negative energies like co-dependency, jealousy, possessiveness that are tied to you. Once the cords are cut you will enjoy a healthy relationship and you no longer absorb that person’s energy.
You can do this exercise whenever you feel its required. If you are an Empath its even more important to do this exercise because you tend to pick up people’s energies easily.

This is a simple candle meditation ritual to enhance creativity.
- 1 orange candle (creativity, enthusiasm)
- 1 yellow candle (creativity, imagination, and inspiration)
- Amethyst, chrysocolla, black onyx, and turquoise
- White Sage, Palo Santo, or Florida water (cleanse and clear)
Creativity is more than just writing, painting, or music It can be about coming up with a great innovative concept for a business method, or something as mundane as redecorating your apartment. This ritual is flexible so feel free to adjust wording as you fit.
Cleanse and clear your space using White Sage, Palo Santo, or Florida water.
Light your altar candles and the incense. Anoint your candles using appropriate oils for creativity. Place the orange and yellow candles side by side and place a piece of black onyx behind the orange candle and the piece of turquoise in front of it.
With your yellow candle, place the Chrysocolla behind the candle, and the amethyst in the front. Light the candles, and think about the particular reason why you need creativity, you might wish to say aloud something along the lines as simple as:
The Universe is filled with endless ideas of creativity. I attract them to me like a magnet. My mind and dreams are open to these ideas. They flow in like a stream of clear water.
Sitting in silence breathe in the sign of Leo and place it into your heart center. Allow the color of Gold, radiating like the sun to surround your entire body and fill you with courage, strength, and fire. Recognize the power of yourself as an individual. A powerful Leo moon mantra for this meditation to remember is:
” My will is strong and my calling is to express and illuminate.”
After the meditation, it might be helpful to consider, or to journal your answers to the following questions:
- What is it that I have been given to express?
- How can I do that with an open and generous heart?

While this meditation is great for when there is a New or Full Moon in Leo, it is also appropriate when the Sun is in Leo, or if your birth sign is Leo, or you have a special affinity for Leo or Lions.

For this spell you will need a large piece of ice, an icicle, a snowball, or several ice cubes. You’ll also need a bowl, and a candle.
Take the ice into your dominant hand (your right if right handed, your left if left handed), hold it over a bowl and think about winter and whatever it is that has been frozen in your own life.
Say, ‘This represents the Crone, Lady of Winter, of the time when the land is still and resting. But as winter’s thaw begins, so the Lady casts off her robes of stillness and becomes once more the Maiden. Full of movement, like the cool waters of spring, she flows once more to bring life and hope to all the land’.
Now ask the Maiden to bring fire and warmth to your own life so that your energy will flow and your own spring will come. Imagine the frozen places in your life melting just as the ice in your hand is melting.
Place the melting ice into the bowl, say a warm thank-you. Light a small candle and as you do, think about how your life will begin to grow and change.
Once the ice has fully melted, keep the resulting water to put on your favorite plant, either indoors or in the garden. (Please wait until the water has reached a reasonable temperature before you do this.)

If you suffer from a real sense of defilement, petition the spirits of the sea to provide healing and cleansing. Although there are many such spirits, Aphrodite and Yemaya are particularly powerful and benevolent. Petition either spirit or both. They are compatible with each other.
Journey to the beach with a bouquet of roses. (Six yellow roses for Aphrodite and/or seven white roses for Yemaya.)
Stand in the shallow water. Dip each rose in sea water and then massage it, gently, one at a time, over your body, stroking downwards: down your legs, down your arms, as if you are removing something. Use a light touch. Toss each rose into the sea after you’ve used it to cleanse yourself.
When all the roses have been given to the ocean, enter deeper water and allow significant waves to pass over you, seven for Yemaya, six for Aphrodite. If you’re afraid of the deep water, or if you are not a strong swimmer, sit or recline in the shallows and let the water pass over you.
Ask these beautiful, benevolent spirits to cleanse you and replenish your aura and energy. When you are done, turn around, walk out of the water and go home.

What follows is a simple purification ritual that can be used on crystals and stones, and other sacred objects. This rite is best done at sunrise or during the day, on your altar (if you have one) or on any table that can be used for this purpose.
Fill a basin with pure water and place this to the west on the table or altar. Next, light a red candle and set this to the south. Light some incense and place this to the east. Finally, place a dish or flowerpot filled with freshly dug earth to the north on the altar. In between all these objects, set the stone (or stones) to be purified.
When all is readied, still your mind and pick up the stone in your projective (dominant) hand. Turn your attention toward the bowl of earth. Place the stone on it and cover with fresh earth. Say something to the effect of:
I purify you with earth!
Leave the stone there for a few minutes, all the while visualizing the earth absorbing the stone’s impurities. Then remove it, dust it clean, and hold it in the incense smoke. Pass it nine times through the smoke, from the right to the left, saying words like these:
I purify you with air!
Next, quickly pass the stone through the candle’s flame several times, saying:
I purify you with fire!
The fire burns away all negativity. Now place the stone in the water and say this or your own words:
I purify you with water!
Visualize the water washing it clean. Leave the stone in the water for a time, then dry it with a clean cloth and hold it in your receptive hand. Is the stone “clean”? If not, repeat this simple ritual as many times as necessary, until your are sure it has done it’s work. Afterward, store the stone in a special place. It is ready for use in magick.

The Crystal Fountain is a place of peace and tranquility, you can visit whenever you feel stressed or tired. Here you can ask a question and seek the answer in the waters.
Lie down comfortably, with your arms by your sides and your legs uncrossed, close your eyes and take several deep breaths. Visualize yourself walking through the woods on a Summer’s evening. The trees along each side of the path are Oak and Ash and Elm, and they move softly in the gentle night breeze.
The air moving through their branches seems to whisper a welcome. The ground beneath your feet is soft and mossy, and cool. You slip off your shoes to make contact with the earth. Above you the sky is a deepening blue and the Full Moon lights your way.
As you walk, you hear the sound of running water, and through the trees you glimpse a small stream, tumbling over rocks and making music which complements the night. Turning a bend, you see a small waterfall descending into a pool almost at your feet. Take a step towards it and kneel at its edge.
Reflected in the rippling waters you see the face of the Moon and below the surface stones and crystals of differing colors. Gazing at the Moon’s reflection you ask your question and then, dipping your hand into the waters, you withdraw a stone. Look carefully at the stone and remember it.
Now give your thanks to the Moon and the waters, and return to the here and now. Remember the stone and seek the answer to your question through its meaning.
Note:
This is a really nice meditation for cleansing and healing as well. Instead of asking a question and dipping your hand into the waters, step into the water and ask to be healed and cleansed. Take plenty of time to relax and allow the magickal waters of the crystal fountain to cleanse and heal you. When you are complete, take time to relax as you return to the here and now. And as always, be sure to express your gratitude.
