Prosperity

On any day or evening from the new to full moon, sit quietly and close your eyes. Relax. See yourself as the energy of prosperity. Be the energy of prosperity. Chant, or repeat in your mind:

Circle, circle, round round;
round round, circle round.

Calm and center yourself, thinking of yourself as the energy of success and prosperity. BE the energy of prosperity. This spell is a terrific one to do anytime, and is especially helpful when those financial worries start to get you down.

Here’s a recipe for a cup of magickal morning brew.

Ingredients:

  • 3 pinches ground ginger
  • 3 pinches cinnamon
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • your favorite ground coffee

Directions:

  1. Add cinnamon to the ground coffee and say: “Cinnamon is for vision, money and love.”
  2. Add the ginger and say: “Ginger is for strength when push comes to shove.”
  3. Add the nutmeg and say: “Nutmeg is for vision, good fortune, and wealth.”
  4. Kiss your fingers and hold them over the coffee and spices, visualizing your love flowing into the coffee, and say: “A kiss keeps you happy and glowing with health.”
  5. Move your hand in a clockwise direction over the coffee spice mixture three times to blend the energies together, then proceed to brew the coffee in your usual manner.

Note: If you add sugar or cream to your coffee, know that sugar sweetens the experience, and cream smooths the way.

The oak tree is lucky for money and health. Try to catch a falling oak leaf in autumn, before it touches the ground. Keep the leaf safely in your purse or wallet to ensure it will never be empty. If an oak leaf accidentally catches you on your person, this is very lucky and you should keep it safe. Likewise, if a bramble catches on your clothes it is considered lucky.

Three nights before the cycle of the full moon, you should begin this three-day spell to remove the negative energy preventing abundance from coming your way. Repeat the following ritual bath on each of the three days leading up to the full moon with the last day being on the day the full moon starts. You should use the same candles for each of the three ritual baths.

The Ritual Bath:

To a warm bath, add money bath salts, which are made from a variety of formulas but generally have a strong patchouli scent. Light some general candles around the bath to reach the ambient lighting you prefer. Imagine a soft white light entering through your head and feet to cleanse the negativity from you. Focus on this goal as you enter the bath. Relax and meditate on the obstacles and stresses in your life melting away into the water.

As you drain the water from the tub, your negativity will follow the water down the drain.

Next, cast a circle and light a God and Goddess candle and place it upon your altar. Also place on the altar a green pillar candle that you have anointed with lodestone oil. Visualize your financial goals as already achieved. Put all of your energy into the candle. Finally, rub the candle down with a mixture of cinnamon and cloves. Light the candle and burn money incense while focusing on your goals.

Repeat this ritual for three days so that the last day is upon the full moon.

Kitchen Magick

Prosperity Magick can be as simple as making soup. The key is to make the soup as if it was a magickal recipe. Imagine that everything you are doing is a metaphor for creating the life you would like to have.

For example:

Dicing the onion might make your eyes water, just as sometimes in life there are tears. The root vegetables speak of getting to the “root” of the matter, pulling out all the stops, getting back to basics, going deep… etc. The apple is the partaking of knowledge, or the harvest. Think about each ingredient and what it represents to you, and how it might bring you the prosperity you want to create.

The Ingredients:

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 large Yellow Beets, peeled and cubed
  • 1 small-medium carrot, chopped
  • 1 small potato, peeled and cubed
  • 1 bay leaf (opt)
  • 3 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 large tart apple, cubed
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt and pepper to taste

For Garnish:

  • Toasted bread crumbs or crushed croutons

Preparing the Soup:

As you cook the soup, consider how it may take some time for things to really come together for you in a good way. Create a chant, or use the one below, while you stir the soup, and imagine that you are stirring up all sorts of new deliciousness for your life.

Directions:

Heat the oil in a medium to large pot over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic and saute briefly until fragrant.

Add the beets, carrot, potato, bay leaf, and 1 cup of the broth. Turn down to a simmer at medium heat and allow to cook for about ten to fifteen minutes, or until the beets are tender.

Add the apple and 1 more cup of broth. Continue to cook for a few minutes until the apple is tender, about five more minutes. Remove the bay leaf (if using) and add the lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

Puree in with an immersion blender or in batches if using a tabletop blender.

Pour through a fine mesh strainer as you return the soup to the pot. Reserve the strained beets for a dumpling filler or yummy sandwich spread for later. Reheat the soup for about two minutes and serve.

While Stirring The Soup:

All things good, delicious and fine
Come together for me and are mine
I share with all who have a need
Because I know I will succeed.
Blessings to the earth.
Blessings to the sky.
Blessings on the soup and me and mine.

Serving the Soup:

When spooned into each bowl add some warmed milk or cream and swirl lightly with a spoon or chop stick to get a pretty spiral design. Top with croutons.

Take in each spoonful with gratitude. Savor the moment.

Here is a great idea for spell work involving beans. You will need three dried beans large enough to write on, and a fine point indelible marker. Write directly on each bean what it is that you want to grow, cultivate, and harvest in your life. This could be money, love, soul mate, happiness, peace, joy, confidence, etc. Each bean can have the same word (symbols are also fine) or you can write three different words on the same subject.

  • For example: money, $$$ (dollar signs), paychecks.

Now plant the beans in a pot filled with good soil. Make sure your magical beans receive lots of tender loving care, along with proper amounts of sunshine and water. Each day, as you take care of them, think about what you might also do to nurture and take care of whatever it is that you would like to create in your life.

For example, if you are growing magical beans to bring a lover into your life – it might be a good idea to lovingly prepare the bedroom. If you are working to bring happiness, think about small things that you could actually do that might put a smile on your face. As you care for your beans, ideas will come to you – act on them.

When your plants are sturdy, strong and have outgrown their pot, transfer them to a larger container, or transplant them outside where they can reach their full potential.

Very Important:

Don’t get discouraged if your bean plants don’t thrive. Simply do a little research as to what might have gone wrong, and try again. Eventually they will grow and thrive, as will you!

\Many spells demand discretion, if that’s a concern for you, you’ll never be able to cast this Russian gambler’s spell. It can only be accomplished at church on Easter Sunday. If, however, you don’t mind making a bit of a commotion – it just might work for you.

Here’s how it goes:

Go to church on Easter Sunday morning. Be alert and pay attention. When the priest (or whoever is leading the service) announces, “Christ is risen.” Immediately shout out loud something like, “I’ve got an ace!” or “I have a full house.” or whatever it is that you need. Allegedly whatever you call out will be yours for the year.

Presumably this will work for anything you might shout out, including: “I am awesome.” “I have an A on my exams.” “I have the winning ticket!” or “Everybody loves me!” etc

To do this ritual, you will need a green taper candle, mint or honeysuckle oil, and some play money. Choose the largest denomination of play money you can get.

Two days before the Full Moon (March 12 in 2017), take the green candle to your altar or spiritual workplace. Carve several dollar signs into the candle, thinking of a more prosperous life as you do so. Anoint the candle with the essential oil by rubbing it from the wick down to the end. Place it in a fireproof holder and set it in the middle of your altar. Light the candle.

Spread out your “money” in front of the burning candle. Sort it out by denomination, or in piles for each bill or purchase you would like to take care of. Spend at least five to ten minutes thinking about how you would responsibly use this money. Then extinguish the candle by pinching or snuffing the flame – don’t blow it out.

The next night light the candle again and shuffle through the “money” again. After ten to fifteen minutes, extinguish the candle as before.

The third night, the night of the full moon, go through the ritual another time, but this time let the candle burn completely out after you have finished sorting the “money.”

When the spell is complete, put the money in an envelope or box that you have designated as a “bank.”

Early in the morning, mix the following ingredients into a bucket of water:

  • A tablespoon of powdered Allspice
  • A teaspoon of Saltpeter
  • Half cup of Sugar

Mop with this from the sidewalk toward the front door, then in the door, through the store, and all the way to the back of the building.

Supplies:

  • A thin spindle (the kind they stick cash register receipts on)
  • 3 one dollar bills (higher denominations are OK too – just be aware that you won’t be using them unless you have a “money emergency”)
  • Powdered Cinnamon
  • Prosperity oil

Instructions:

Dip the tip of the spindle into the prosperity oil. Place one dollar bill on the spindle. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Hold your hands over the dollar bill and say:

Veiled Fortuna, Goddess of luck,
sweet sister of fortune
spinner of the Wheel of Destiny
grant me the gift of prosperity.
Bring me the blessings of positive abundance.
With harm to none, so mote it be.

Place the second dollar bill on top of the first. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Hold your hands over the bills and say:

Spirits of Earth, element of prosperity,
strong Mother of my fortune,
grant me the gift of unlimited resources.
Bring me the blessings of positive abundance.
With harm to none, so mote it be.

Place the third dollar bill on top of the second. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Hold your hands over the bills and say:

I am fortunate.
I am successful.
I am positive abundance.
I am prosperity!

Every evening, before you go to bed, add a dollar bill or two to the pile. Don’t forget to sprinkle with cinnamon, and say the last affirmation:

I am prosperity!

When your spindle is full, remove all but the last dollar and start over again. The “spindle” money can be placed in a special savings account to used for special projects, or it can be saved in a “magical money box” and saved for a rainy day. As the money on the spindle increases, so will your personal finances.

If you find that you must use the dollars on the spindle for some unforeseen emergency, be sure to leave the first dollar. If something happens, and you spend that first dollar, you will need to do the spell again.
