Get Rid Of

knocking on wooden door

This is a hoodoo spell to keep bill collectors and police officers away. Here’s how it works:

Empty a black hen’s egg, crack up the shell, and toast it in your oven until it turns brown. Powder it, then put the powder under your front doorsteps. The collectors or officers may come around, but they will not be able to do anything to harm you.

Total_solar_eclipse

A solar eclipse occurs as the Sun casts the Moon’s shadow across the Earth. It unites the powers of Sun and Moon, light and darkness, logic and intuition. It is “a day without a night, a night without a day,” magically suspended from normal routines: a cosmic exception that proves the rule of Sun and Moon.

An eclipse is a perfect time for changing patterns. Use its power to break curses, bad habits, and so forth. Choose a small item representing what you want to dispel.

At the time of the eclipse, take the item far from your home. Hold it and concentrate on all that binds and limits you, symbolized by this object. Then say:

Eclipse, break
through the past
Smashing all
that held me fast.
Shadow come,
shadow go,
Take this nasty
thing I throw.

Throw the item as far away from you as possible. Quickly bury it where it falls, then say:

Hide it far, far away
Lost between the night and day.
Leave it there, let it be,
Never more to
trouble me!

Cover the site with fallen leaves or grass to obscure it. Then walk away without looking back.

To eliminate an unwanted habit, make a poppet of yourself out of cloth, straw, or a carved candle. Make symbols or words on it to indicate what you want to release forever, allowing anger to build within you that you have practiced this unwanted behavior.

Call upon Pluto or Hecate to assist your resolve to fully carry out change in you life.

Then, using a safe container such as an iron cauldron or metal bowl, anoint the poppet with a few drops of oil of myrrh, pennyroyal, rosemary, or rue, and then carefully set it on fire, visualizing the release of your unwanted habit or trait forever.

Burn the poppet to ashes, and then take the ashes to a place where you have no need to be at any time soon. Bury it, turn firmly, and walk away. Don’t look Back.

The Kalevala is a treasure trove of ancient shamanistic practices including the following healing spell.

For this ritual, stand in the east and call in the element of air. Ask in all humility for assistance. Light a blue candle and a stick of sandalwood incense as an offering to the element. Now say:

Sickness,
Vanish into the sky!
Pain, fly up into the air.
Burning vapor,
Rise up into the air!
So that the wind may take thee away.
So that the storm may chase thee to far places.
Where neither Sun nor Moon gives light.
Where no hot wind burns the flesh.

Thank the element of air, and let the candle burn down. As with all magic, in addition to this spell, it is essential that you have done everything possible in the physical realm to aid the healing

Fill a silver spoon with sugar, and carry it around the house in a counter clockwise direction.

The silver spoon will banish negativity, and the sugar will empower and sweeten your opportunities. Leave the spoon undisturbed for seven hours, and then cast the sugar to the winds, asking for speedy, positive changes in your life.

GnomeAccording to the 16th century Swiss alchemist Paracelsus, the gnome is able to move through earth in the same manner that a fish swims through water or a human walks through air. Gnomes are associated with the fey, or fairy-folk, and are equated with earthly treasures, earth consciousness, and great knowledge of the magick in rocks, caves, roots, gems, and mountains.

Because gnomes can move through earth like fish swim through water, one can turn to the gnomes to move a block of earth energy within oneself, or a block placed in our path by another.

This spell is particularly good when things have been moving along just fine for you, you’ve been recovering from your debts, sailing ahead and suddenly – thwack! You run into some sort of a block. Before you spend days, weeks, or months worrying, try this spell.

Supplies:

  • 1 cup dirt
  • A sieve
  • A handful (up to 1/2 oz) of ginger or dragon’s blood herb

Instructions:

Over a paper towel or bowl, pour the cup of dirt into the sieve. Add the ginger (or dragon’s blood)

Say:

Element of earth,
move the mountain of ___________ (state what is stuck)

As the ginger (or dragon’s blood) mixes with the earth,
so shall the blocks in my life
be broken gently apart and removed,
so that I may prosper.

As the dirt shakes out of the sieve, visualize the financial problems in your life breaking up and dissolving. Once all the dirt is through the sieve, turn the sieve over and tap it seven times to remove any excess dirt.

Carry the dirt to a crossroads at midnight and dump it there, once again asking the element of earth to gently disperse the negativity in your life with harm to none.

Wash the sieve, asking the element of water to gently cleanse your situation.

You will need paper, pencil (a pen won’t do), and a nice big eraser. A white vanilla scented candle.

800px-Faber-Castell_pencil_and_eraser

Step 1: Light the candle, and then think of one thing in yourself that keeps you from trusting or maybe even hearing your inner voice, your own opinions, your own hopes and dreams.

Step 2: With your pencil, write a description of your block on the piece of white paper.

Step 3: Think about this block for a while, and all the ways in which your life would be improved if it could only be erased.

Step 4: Pick up the eraser, and begin to erase what you wrote on the paper. As you are erasing, say the following prayer three times:

Lady, cleanse me of this block.
Help me know through and through that:
the earth has wisdom, my body has wisdom,
a tree has wisdom, my heart has wisdom,
a bird has wisdom, my mind has wisdom,
Lady, cleanse me of this block.

Help me realize:
an ocean holds knowledge, just so does my mind
a fox has wiles, just so am I wily;
a child knows God, and so do I.
Help me find my innate wisdom and knowledge.

Lady, cleanse me of this block.
Help me know of these things:
common sense feeds the soul;
lyrical mysticism and visionary hope
belong in the everyday world;
I can grow and stretch a bit spiritually, every day.

Step 5: If any smudges or pencil marks remain on the paper, if any trace of the original writing can still be seen, take the pencil now and turn them into stars, spirals, flowers, and suns. When there is no trace left of what you originally wrote, the ritual is complete. Snuff the candle and say:

Thank you Goddess.

On a sturdy, preferably dead, bush or shrub still planted in the ground, in a place where the winds blow clear and free, tie or push onto the tip of a branch or twig one leaf for every one of the ills that is bothering you. If you tie the leaf, do so loosely and use a natural fiber cord.

This is all you have to do, for the North Wind will rise and, perhaps slowly, untie and free the leaves, thereby releasing energy and going to work to alleviate the ills besetting you.

This spell works over a period of days or even weeks, not minutes, so leave the shrub after performing the spell. If you wait and watch, the wind might never rise. Of course, it gives you a head start to perform this work during a stiff North breeze.

In southern Germany, the eisbeilige – the iceman days – is the brief cooling trend in May. The “ice saints,” Mamertius, Pancratius, and Servatus, were celebrated on May 11. Along with Cold Sophie, these “strong lords” are pagan figures who were turned into Christian saints were said to bring cold weather during planting season. They’d kill a budding tree or a field of sprouting wheat the minute they touched it with their frosty fingers or blew on it with their freezing breath. Farmers learned early on not to set plants out until after the ice saints had come and gone.

Sometimes we find ice saints in our lives, people whose presence chills our blood and infects our happiness with frostbite. They’re self-righteous, hypocritical, and extremely annoying. They’re bigger control freaks than we are and insist that a household chore or a ritual has to be performed “their way or the highway.” Sometimes they threaten physical harm. Sometimes they’re psychic vampires who steal our energy. Sometimes they’re thieves who steal our stuff or our work.

They’re all toxic people. We need to get them out of our lives. One banishing technique I like – but which must be done with finely focused aim and a strong intention to harm none – is to put the ice saint right where he or she belongs: in the freezer.

Write the person’s name and behavior on a piece of paper and bind it with black thread and thirteen knots. Say out loud exactly what the ice saint does that is toxic. Say out loud that you want to bind the behavior. You’re not out to injure the person, just to protect yourself and get him or her out of your life.

Put the piece of paper in a little jar, fill it with water, and put it in your freezer. Then take real-life action to get the ice saint out of your life.
