Dragons

The Dragon King of the Sea can be called upon for help and assistance. Here’s how:

  • Whisper your message, needs, or desires over a loaf of bread.
  • Feed this bread to river or ocean fish.
  • Tell the fish to please deliver your message to the Dragon King of the Sea.

When help arrives, be sure to return with offerings of gratitude.

Saint George’s Eve is an extremely potent night for fertility rites. Crusaders encountered Saint George in Semitic West Asia and brought him home to Europe, where he is most famous for killing the dragon. Or did he? And why is he so helpful to women who wish to conceive? Some believe Saint George to be Baal in disguise.

Baal, Semitic weather deity and bane of the biblical prophets, exemplifies male thunder gods who rain down fertility on a parched region. The image of the dragon or great snake is often used to represent menstruation, the monthly heartache of women wishing but failing to conceive.

Women once flocked to a Syrian shrine devoted to Saint George. Its attendant priests developed such a reputation for working miracles of conception that suspicious husbands soon forbade their wives to go, preferring no children at all to the “miracle” children.

There’s no need to discover the ruins of this shrine. St George can assist your quest in the privacy of your own home.

Here’s how:

Hang a new white nightgown from a fruitful tree on Saint George’s Eve. Leave it overnight. Inspect the garment in the morning. If any living creature is found within it, the woman can expect to conceive before next Saint George’s Day.

To activate the spell put the nightgown on immediately. Having sex while wearing it wouldn’t hurt either.

The most common form of life discovered in the nightgown is a bug or worm. Should you discover a snake wrapped up in your clothing, this is a powerful blessing and promise. A variation of the spell from Kurdistan actively seeks the snake’s blessings.

It is as follows:

Lay your nightgown at the foot of a tree or in its branches in an area known to be infested with snakes, the more venomous the better. Leave it overnight. Return to get the clothing the following day. If a snake is sitting on, or is in any way touching your nightgown, you should be pregnant within the year.

Take the clothing (but not the snake!) home, put it on and make love without laundering it first.

Note:

Saint George’s Day is celebrated on 23 April, the traditionally accepted date of Saint George’s death in AD 303. For Eastern Orthodox Churches which use the Julian calendar, 23 April corresponds to 6 May on the Gregorian calendar.

This “invisibility” spell takes practice and falls into the realms of meditation and mental magick.

The Spell:

“Dragon fog and chameleon sight,
I command the shrouded sea.
I blend the mist, I mix the light,
Refract, around, behind me”

Memorize it, then practice making the edges of yourself fuzzy while chanting the spell. No you won’t disappear in front of someone’s eyes, but if a person isn’t thinking about you, then you can move well without being seen, sort of like a chameleon that blends in with it’s surroundings

You will need:
  • A tarot deck and the following cards:
Justice –  The World  –  Nine of Cups
  • Six candles of the following colors:
    Gray – Orange – Indigo – Purple – Black – Gold
First, you must recite the opening chant:

“I move outside the limits of time to work my spell
The dragons help me weave the universal energy
The things that now exist become what I desire
The tides of Magick answer unto me”

Arrange the cards in order, left to right: Justice, The World, and then Nine of Cups. Arrange the candles below the cards in this order: gray, orange, indigo, purple, black, and gold. Light the candles and after clearing your mind, say:

“Gray mists to hide what I must do.
Orange light to change my luck and give me power.
Indigo strength to stop gossip and lies.
Purple power to break bad luck and drive away evil.
Great black walls to protect me from my enemies.
Sun-gold beams to give me fortune and success.
I stand surrounded by these powerful lights.
I ask the dragon’s help to succeed in my case.”

Concentrate a few moments on the cards and your objective. After this say the closing chant:

“My thanks to the dragons, great and small, who came to answer my call,
We wove the Magick, wild and free, And as I will, so shall it be.”

Place the candles in a safe place so they will not catch anything on fire, such as in a sink or even in the bath tub, and allow them to burn themselves out.

A Dragon needs a home; create a lair or cave or peak filled with treasure. The nature of the treasure determines the nature of the Dragon. Determine whether the dragon you wish to summon has a solitary nature; if not, add images of other dragons and attractive human figures to keep the Dragon company.

To summon the Dragon, light red candles and provide offerings of candy and sweets. The invocation can be a simple heartfelt invitation, but if you’d like to use a prewritten prayer, or something more elaborate that’s fine too. Here is an invocation found at the Dragon Magick Book of Shades:

Oh Dragon Here,
Of Purest Fire, Full Of Love
Lifting Higher, And Higher

Come To Me,
Oh, Dragon Of Light
Oh, Thou Of Truth
Lift Me Higher, This Hour
Let This Be Our Desire
To Be As One, To Work Together
Deep In Love
And Happy Forever.

Be patient. This may take some time. Do the Dragon invitation or summoning every day until you feel the power of the Dragon inhabiting the lair.

Being A Witch

We should educate people that ‘Witch’ is not evil but ancient and positive. The first time I called myself a ‘Witch’ was the most magical moment of my life.
