Healing Spells

Perform this spell during an eclipse or a waxing moon phase. Arrange sea shells on a secluded beach, in the shape of a circle. If you do not have access to a beach, perform this ritual in a garden or forest using stones, branches or flowers to form the circle.

Kneel at the center facing the ocean. Light a blue candle and incense of your choice. Raise arms high and recite:

“With smoke and flame this spell’s begun.
O Goddess of the stars, moon, and the sun,
Let the healing power begin.
Let the Earth be whole again.”

“The Earth is my mother and I am her child.
The earth is my lover, free and wild.
Heal on the outside, heal within.
Land and sea, fire and wind.”

“With love sincere,
I chant this prayer to make mankind
Begin to care.
Let every sister and every brother
Heal the wounds of the Great Earth Mother.”

“Let the healing power begin,
Let the Earth be whole again.
Heal on the outside, heal within.
Land and sea, fire and wind.
So mote it be!”

The Kalevala is a treasure trove of ancient shamanistic practices including the following healing spell.

For this ritual, stand in the east and call in the element of air. Ask in all humility for assistance. Light a blue candle and a stick of sandalwood incense as an offering to the element. Now say:

Sickness,
Vanish into the sky!
Pain, fly up into the air.
Burning vapor,
Rise up into the air!
So that the wind may take thee away.
So that the storm may chase thee to far places.
Where neither Sun nor Moon gives light.
Where no hot wind burns the flesh.

Thank the element of air, and let the candle burn down. As with all magic, in addition to this spell, it is essential that you have done everything possible in the physical realm to aid the healing

peppermint_full

Place peppermint leaves on top of a photograph of the person who needs help healing. (This could be a picture of you, if you wish.)

“Charge” a blue candle with your desire for perfect health for the person in the photo. (This has to do with anointing the candle and “charging it” with your desire while preparing it) Carve the candle with the individuals name, along with a good health symbol. (I like to use the symbol for the Red Cross)

Burn the candle beside the photograph. When the candle has burned down, dispose of the peppermint leaves outdoors in a bush, under a tree, etc…Repeat as needed, with fresh peppermint leaves each time.

Find a tall sturdy tree that looks healthy and strong. Circle the tree nine times clockwise, asking it to ease your pain, using a chant such as this one:

O great tree, O strong tree,
Absorb my pain so I’ll be free.

Lay back against the tree’s firm, solid trunk; press your back into the bark. Feel the tree absorbing the pain as your back releases it into the tree. After a few minutes, rise and thank the tree by burying something precious at its foot.

lucky socks

These spells work on the concept that the feet are an entry point for the body and soul. White socks should be used unless stated! Wear the socks all day and sleep in them if possible discarding the contents/herbs/salt in the morning, in any way you please.

Protection, Breaking Bad luck, Removing Hexes
Wear white socks with sea salt in them to break curses and protect from evil. This works really well so in the morning put a 1/2 to 1 tablespoon of salt in each sock and wear until the next morning. Either wash the salt down the drain or throw it away outside. This will break any curses or bad luck around you.

Good Luck
Wear either brown or green socks with a pinch of any of these herbs: Cinnamon, Basil, or Rosemary. Wear as often as you like! Just a pinch though, you don’t want to smell like a green grocer and these herbs are very strong magically so you don’t need much.

Love
Wear either pink, red or white socks. Love heart socks are great too of course but white is just fine and works just as good. Put 2 rose petals in each sock while visualizing yourself with your intended lover or current love. Imagine love coming to you and surrounding you both. You can also use lavender or lilac. If you use these herbs use two pinches of each but rose petals work best. Dry or Fresh.

Health and Healing
Wear white socks stuffed with 1 tsp of sea salt in each with a pinch of lavender or rosemary. Visualize yourself healthy and happy. In the morning throw out the salt and herb and re stuff, repeat until you are well again.

Weight loss
White or Yellow socks. Put a pinch of dried lemon rind or lemongrass in each sock while visualizing yourself with the perfect body. Do this only during the waning moon which is from full moon to new moon.

Fast Money
Wear green or brown socks if available. Put 1 basil leaf dry or fresh into each sock and wear. If you cant find whole dry basil leaves use 1/2 ts of dried basil. Visualize yourself surrounded by cash and good luck.

The ancient Egyptians used this powerful meditation to infuse their bodies with light. Each body part was dedicated to a divinity who directed the flow of life energy. This meditation may be recited upon waking while standing in an eastern window facing the sun, or before sleeping while lying in repose. After deep relaxation, begin naming the parts of your body that you dedicate to the Divine:

My head is the head of Seshat,
filling with thoughts of the power of the Divine, remembering my soul’s purpose.

My face is the face of Nefertum,
the golden child arising above chaos in beauty.

My eyes are the eyes of Hathor
shining in the darkness. I see love and joy in all things.

My ears are the ears of Anubis,
hearing the messages of the Divine.

My nose and longs are the nose and lungs of Shu,
receiving fresh breezes that fill me with creative life energy.

My throat is the throat of Meret,
it’s words are gentle songs.

My lips are the lips of Mut.
What touches them receives my blessing and thankfulness.

My teeth are the teeth of Serket,
strong and nurturing.

My neck is the neck of the Renenutet,
which supports me and connects my intellectual, emotional, and physical bodies.

My right (or dominant) hand is the hand of Khnum,
endlessly creative, giving life to things of beauty.

My left (or nondominant) hand is the hand of Anket,
receiving abundance from the bounty of the world.

My forearms are the foreamrs of Neith,
who weaves the destiny of one humankind.

My shoulders are those of Wadjet,
powerful, healing, and strong.

My chest and rib cage are those of Tefnut,
containing and protecting the delicate inner parts of myself.

My heart is the heart of Ma’at,
living in truth and keeping my life in balance.

My backbone is the backbone of Seth,
the foundation of the world.

My womb is the womb of Isis.
(alternatively)
My phallus is the phallus of Osiris.

My reins are the reins of Satis,
receiving abundantly what is needed and eliminating what is not.

My belly and back are the belly and back of Sekhmet,
source of my spiritual fire and power.

My hips and legs are those of Nut,
carrying me safely through the day and night.
Wherever I need to be, there I find myself

My feet are the feet of Ptah,
a firm foundation for all of myself.

My fingers are those of Orion and Sirius,
sparkling and brilliant, creating anew, rebuilding, tearing down, heralding new life.

My bones are the bones of all the living gods and goddesses,
the living Uraei that protects and energizes and life to its spiritual source.

There is no member of my body that is not the member of a divine being. My body knows what it needs to give and to receive. Thoth and Isis shield my body wholly, filling it with energy and radiating love. I am shining as Ra and Raet day by day. These are the words of power that live forever. As I rise and walk on earth, so do I rise and walk always in the realm of heaven, under the nurturing care and the divine power of the gods and goddesses.

Place a silvered mirror, face up on an altar or other sacred place so that the light of the Full Moon shines upon it. In the center of the mirror, place a symbol to represent the one seeking healing. The symbol could be a photo, crystal, lit candle, piece of jewelry, lock of hair, name on a card, or some other object. Use the symbol on the mirror in the Moonlight as a focal point as you imagine that the one needing healing is becoming well and then is healthy.

After the ritual, deliver the symbol to the subject of the healing rite as an additional way of transmitting healing. Cleanse the mirror you used by washing it with pure spring water or passing it through Mugwort smoke or some other incense so that the mirror will be ready for you to use for other healing work in the future.

Being A Witch

We should educate people that ‘Witch’ is not evil but ancient and positive. The first time I called myself a ‘Witch’ was the most magical moment of my life.
