wwb_img153Rosemary symbolizes remembrance. It is ruled by the sun, and according to the Romanies, is representative of people born under the zodiac sign Aries. So the following love charm is particularly effective on people born under the sign of the Ram.

In April or May, when rosemary is in season, choose pliable, willowy stems and bind them together into the shape of a heart. Form a mental image of the one you wish for. Then secure the rosemary heart with yellow ribbon, and if you have any threads from your partner’s clothes or strands of hair, weave these in to create a stronger vibrational link. If your desired one is born under Aries, weave in a few strands of wool too.

Place the rosemary heart in a white envelope, and put it under your pillow. Before you sleep, repeat the words:

Divine Love bless my sleep
My true lover I shall keep.

The rosemary will dry with time and its life force will fade. When you feel your spell has brought the one you want closer, burn the heart in a fire, thinking while you do it of the flames of passion.

Listen To Me

This isn’t exactly a spell, but it’s a really easy way to connect with your own inner voice, and it might give you some ideas for spell work in the future. For example, you could cast a spell for harmony between your “Inner Mother” and your “Rebellious Child.” I’m sure that as you read through the list, and think about who speaks to you from within, more ideas will come to you.

Here’s the basic concept:

Since we each have so many inner voices, every day there are all kinds of “committee meetings” going on inside our heads. The one speaking right now is the one who is curious, who loves to learn.

You don’t need to call your inner voices a “Committee” if you don’t want to. Feel free to name them something different if you’d like. Here are some ideas:

  • The Inner Family
  • Inner Parts
  • Inner Tribe

Identifying your inner voices:

As you read the list below, take a separate piece of paper (or your journal) and make your own list. You will find that you will identify with some of the inner voices listed here, and some you will pass right over. That’s perfectly okay. You are the only one who truly can identify your own inner voices. You might find that some of them sound exactly like people you grew up with.

  • The Critic
  • The Peacemaker
  • The Organizer
  • The Caretaker
  • The Happy Child
  • The Poet
  • The Fighter
  • The Gypsy
  • The Hermit
  • The Grump
  • The Guru
  • The Yogini
  • Miss Responsible
  • The One Who Loves to Cook
  • The One Who Was Shamed
  • The Healer
  • The Good Mother
  • The Nature Lover
  • The Professional/Business Woman
  • The One Who Waits
  • The Inner Cheerleader

Take a look at the list you made of your own inner Committee. Some of the voices on your list are clearly positive. Some are more neutral. And some may seem negative and bothersome. This is all okay! They are each needing to be heard.

A few of them may seem to be dominant, the ones who are continually “running the show.” Others may be living on the fringes, unable to speak, silenced and hidden in the shadows. Remember that each part of you wants to be seen, heard, named and honored.

I have found that simply noticing a voice (especially a shadowy voice that doesn’t seem to like me) diminishes its power over me.

What to do about it:

An excellent way to connect with and bring harmony to your inner tribe is to make a picture to represent each one. This can be done in the form of small collages, one for each voice – or you could do some scrap booking, giving each voice it’s own separate page. This is a great project for self exploration – and is easily done by going through magazines and pulling out images and words that speak to you about the individual selves. You may find that you begin to identify many more inner voices as you continue the practice of inner listening, and as you continue to go through magazines finding images that call to you..

Found at: KaleidoSoul a website that facilitates the making of “soul collages” bringing your inner voices out in the form of collaged cards.

This spell is simple and requires no searching for exotic ingredients. It is performed to draw people to you (friends) and enhance your sexual attraction (if you desire more than friends) In many ways, this is a confidence and self esteem spell. You can focus on a specific person during the rite in order to strengthen the bond between you or to draw that person to you. Remember the laws of return however: That which you send out will often return to you.

Do a thorough physical cleaning of your bathroom, and cover any mirrors with material (white or pink towels or sheets are nice) Then draw a bath and to the water add a small handful (about 1/3 to 1/2 cup) of sea salt or other available salt while saying:

“Negativity is washed away,
I am renewed as of today!
Many heads will turn my way,
the ones I chose will wish to stay.”

Light three white votive candles or place three floating candles in the bath tub, focus on your body, how sensual it is, how beautiful you are. Everyone is beautiful, this spell is just drawing out your best! Women have a strange image of what men desire, and men have an equally odd image of what women desire. This is probably our society’s influences, like TV. Focus on what you like about yourself (there is something). You may also begin to focus on that specific person if desired.

Turn off the lights and turn on your favorite music if possible, something that makes you feel reckless and sexy, or calm and at peace with yourself, depending on your taste, mood, and the desired end result you want. For example, for sex, you may want a sexy rock album, for general attraction, you may want a happy mellow song. The feeling that the music evokes in you is important.

Enter the bath and relax, make sure every part of your body is immersed in the water at least once. If you don’t have a bathtub, tie the salt up in a wash cloth while saying the above words, and use it in the shower.

When you are finished (I spend about an hour and a half in the bathroom and shave, shampoo, etc. beforehand) repeat the original words, plus this ending line, so you’ll say:

“Negativity is washed away,
I am renewed as of today!
Many heads will turn my way,
the ones I chose will wish to stay.”

“I am blessed, I am loving,
I am loved and love myself! I am love!”

It may sound kinda funny, but this one really works. Feel free to intuitively add what you like to this, sandalwood or rose soap, incense, a glass of your favorite ritual beverage, bath oil… especially those made with herbal extracts or essential oils, our favorite perfume or cologne, a special bath towel purchased for this ritual only, etc. Your intuition will only serve to refine this working and enhance its effects!

You will need:

  • Lavender Oil
  • Clary sage Oil
  • Grapefruit
  • Red candle
  • Sandalwood incense

Procedure:

This is a relatively easy spell. Confidence is an emotion which is easy to develop. Now to do this spell you must first remember to bathe in lavender oil (5-6 drops in your bath are enough). Once done with that, light the candle and place it near the window. Keep the grapefruit next to it and split it open. Now repeat the following lines 3 times

“Let the light of this flame
Enlighten my soul tonight
Let the spirit of confidence,
Fortify my soul with its might.”

Or else keep repeating it till you feel strong. To end the spell, cover the grapefruit with 12 drops of clary sage essential oil. And burn the incense. Leave the whole set up by the window for a couple of days. Wait till the grapefruit dries up completely. Do not touch the grapefruit till it dries away. Once all is done drying, place the whole set up in a box and dispose it off in the nearest water supply. Repeat first part of this spell (the bath, the candle, and the incantation) for 10 days until there is a surge of confidence in your soul.

With this ancient incantation, the sorcerer takes control of the woman. Her clothes are to turn into an impromptu bower, her bed a covered spot for a tryst, and, if she is asleep when the spell is wrought, her own couch will unceremoniously awaken her to send her off to the embrace of her admirer.

I have seized you, I have seized you, I will not let you go!
As pitch holds fast to boat,
As Sin to Ur, as Shamash to Larsa,
As Ishtar to Ekur hold fast,
I have seized you and I will not let you free!
May the clothes you are wearing be your bower,
May the bed you sleep on be a tent,
May the bed dump you on the ground!
May the ground say to you “Get up!”
At the command of the Capable Lady, Ishtar

An ancient Mesopotamian incantation for when you need to keep your cool sexually. Especially useful if you are working on a period of celibacy or abstinence.

Arousal is coming upon me like a wild bull,
It keeps springing at me like a dog,
Like a lion it is fierce in the coming.
Like a wolf it is full of fury.
Stay! I pass over you like a threshold,
I walk right through you like a flimsy door,
I span you like a doorway.
I turn back your approach like a hobble,
I drive out the fieriness of your heart.

Be warned!
This is a very explicit and powerful incantation for love
from ancient Mesopotamia.

il_570xN.322199327

Wind come, mountain quake
Clouds gather, droplets fall!
Let the penis of the ass become stiff,
let him mount the jenny,
let him mount the she-goat …
time after time!
At the head of my bed a he-goat is tied,
At the foot of my bed a ram is tied.
You at the head of my bed, have an erection, make love to me!
You at the foot of my bed, have an erection, caress me!
My vagina is a bitch´s vagina, his penis is a dog´s penis,
As the bitch´s vagina holds tight the dog´s penis,
So may my vagina holds tight his penis!
May your penis grow long as a warclub!
I´m sitting on a web of seduction,
May I not miss my prey!

The purpose of this ancient Mesopotamion love charm is to enable a man to win a woman´s favor by a magical procedure. If you can decipher the directions (hidden in the incantation) – it might actually work.

26. Karkabi, Irina Vitalievna - Lovers (2)

Ea loves the love charm,
The love charm, son of Ishtar,
Seated on her thighs, in the sapflow of the incense-tree
… you two beautiful maidens
You are come into bloom, you went down to the garden,
To the garden you went down
You cut the sapflow of the incense-tree.
I have seized your mouth for saliva!
I have seized your lustrous eyes!
I have seized your vulva for urine!
I climbed into the garden of the moon,
I cut through the poplar to her
Seek for me among the boxwood,
As the shepherd seeks for the sheep,
The goat her kid,
The ewe her lamb,
The jenny her foal
“His arms are two garlands of fruit
His lips are oil and … plant
A cruse of oil is his hand
A cruse of cedar oil on his shoulder”
So the love charms have bespoken her,
Then driven her to ecstasy!
I have seized your mouth for love-making!
By Ishtar and Isharra I conjure you!
May you find no release from me
Till your neck and his neck lie close beside!

This ancient Mesopotamian incantation is a spell on behalf of an Entu Priestess who is in love with a man called Erra-bani. The incantation appears to be form of call and response, and is for invoking a strong sexual attraction.

The woman says:

Be restless at night,
find no peace during the day,

The man responds:

Do not sit peacefully at night.
Darling! Darling!

The woman says:

May your thighs be moving,
May your hips be in motion,

The man responds:

May your sinews be following
May your heart rejoice

The woman says:

May your liver be joyful!

The Man responds:

Let me swell up like a dog

This incantation could be used in spell work using candles to represent the couple involved, and I think it could work really well. The incantation could be written directly on the respective candles. The “couple” should then be bound together and then ignited in a fire of passion. The candles could be “dressed” with essential oils for love and passion, for example: Jasmine, Sandalwood, and/or Rose.
