Covid Craziness

I have collected a fair amount of memes and other informational images related to the pandemic and the quarantine. It has been really astonishing to me how much crazy stuff shows up in my Facebook feed. I had forgotten what human beings are actually capable of, and I had no clue about the number of conspiracy theories and fake news stories that were circulating. And even more surprised to discover how many  people actually think they are true.

I had this idea that I might write something heartfelt and wise about it… but that’s not gonna happen, at least not today. That being said, I didn’t want all that stuff to sit in a folder on my laptop until it was really old news and no longer relevant to anyone’s experience. So… I decided to just share it all here. Right now. Today.

So much resistance to wearing a mask…

Being in quarantine was my idea of heaven… I love being told to stay home from work. Apparently this has not been true for everyone.

Someone thought they could predict the future…

And then there are these hateful people! Shocking really… being stuck at home really brought the “crazy” out.

The conspiracy theories are almost as hilarious as the following… too bad they missed the part where Bill Gates has plans to sterilize everyone…

And then there is the pervasive idea that Covid-19 is some sort of made up bullshit…

Not sure what this is, but it seems really insensitive… especially since so many people died.

And then we have this, which is interesting, and thought provoking.

And this… sadly… seems to be true.
