Wrapping Things Up
What We Actually Did!
Over all, I think the project helped all of us to make progress with our various goals. I think I was the only one who flat out didn’t do anything at all to further their goal. I did, however, learn a lot about goal setting and what NOT to do the next time I decide to set goals for myself.
What follows are the results that have been posted thus far:
Karla
Well, my goal was too lofty but I DID manage to organize debt and feel good about my plan going forward. It was tough to make some of the choices that means less incoming every two weeks but in the long run it will be more peaceful. I enjoyed the The Prosperity Project inspiration along the way!
Daniel
While I can not say I achieved my goal. I can say I took steps towards it. I have a rough plan of steps I need to take to bring it even closer. Steps I did not have a month ago. So a SUCCESS in my opinion.
Shirley
The road to hell is paved with good intentions… that pretty much sums up how well I did with my goal. I managed to do absolutely nothing… nothing at all with regard to getting my faucet replaced. It was an absolute fail. HOWEVER… I did do so much work on the website… several new mini-sites up and running… lots of new content… AND I worked my regular job… Had a very sick grandpuppy and a very worried family… and a bunch of other stuff. So I didn’t just DO NOTHING, what I did was EVERY THING BUT the faucet.
So… While the goal itself was a failure, the last 30 days was very productive and good. And if I had it to do over, I’d set a different goal, because I really do think I picked the wrong thing.
What did I learn? I learned that it is very important for me to choose long term goals that are something I really do want to actually do… not stuff that I think I might want, or that I think would be “good” for me. The “good for me” goals need to be something small and easy that I commit to doing every single day. And if I don’t want to actually DO it, there’s no point in making it a goal, because I will do everything in my power to avoid the doing of it.
My favorite posts were the ones about Newtons Laws … I love that physics applies to my every day life to accurately. Most helpful to me ?? again that would be Newton’s Laws of Motion. The Mind Mapping looked interesting, and I think it might be something fun to try later on this year.
Saskia
Well I failed miserably LOL. I only got 15 out of 40 bags sewn and 9 of them were done before we started this months project.
Note to Saskia: I wouldn’t call getting 1/3 of the bags sewn a miserable failure! You did actually sew 6 of them which is way better than 0. So that’s progress.
By The Way:
It’s not too late to post your own results to this goal setting project. Just leave a comment with your experiences, successes and/or failures, with your insights, ideas, stories, and anything else you want to share. I’ll update this post as new comments appear. We’d love to hear what you have to share!
LOL
Did We Do Something?
And now that we’re done with our 30 days of doing. It’s time to talk about how well did we do? Did you accomplish your goal? If not, why not. If so, do you have anything to share that you think might be helpful to someone else? What was the most helpful to you? Least helpful? Are you glad it’s finally over? Wish you had more time? If you could do it all over again, what would you do differently?
I’m sure I”m not the only one who would love to hear your stories of success or failure, road blocks and smooth sailing, ideas, insights, words of wisdom and anything else that you’d like to share.
And here’s a little collection of Steam Train pictures to enjoy while we put this project to bed:
How did we do?
When I first had the idea for this project, I looked up the definition of the phrase, “Laying the groundwork,” and this is what it means:
- To create or prepare the basics or essential foundation (for something); to pave the way (for something).
- Something that is done at an early stage and that makes later work or progress possible.
Most of the exercises this time around were aimed at getting a clearer understanding of ourselves. And in the process, discover where our strengths, weaknesses, limitations, motivations, talents, and abilities lie.
Now that we’ve come to the end of our 30 day experiment, it’s time to check in with your results, experiences, and insights. Even if you didn’t complete all of the exercises, it will still be helpful to know what worked, or did not work for you.
Note: A simple way to leave feedback on the project is to copy and paste the questions into the comment box, and then answer the ones that appeal to you.
- Did you complete all of the exercises?
- If not, were the ones that you did do helpful to you?
- In what way?
- Which exercise did you get the most benefit from?
- What was your favorite part of this project?
- What was your least favorite part?
- Did you learn anything new about yourself?
- Did you discover anything important that you’d like to share?
- Is there anything else you’d like to say about this project?
I would really love it if everyone that did the exercises would leave some feedback on this project. The fact that other people participated is a huge motivator for me. I deeply appreciate every person who visited this project and took part in it.
My Violet Flame Journey
Thank you all for your input and your insights. In a few days, I’ll have them organized and ready to share as a post. In the interim, I thought it might be fun to do a photo essay of how I experienced the journey. (Mostly because I had all these pictures that I collected and I wanted to have a chance to show them to everyone… LOL) But maybe it will be interesting, so here goes….
As we worked our way through this project, I found that I experienced the Violet Flame in a number of different ways. When the initial idea came to me, I was feeling rather like this:
When the project started up, and I was gathering information and practicing the I Am Decrees for the first time, I began to feel more like this:
After a while, it became more like my new normal:
There were a couple of days when I fell asleep on the job and barely got through just a few repetitions of the I AM Decrees… much like this:
When I went all out with my meditations and decrees, when I put my whole self into it, when I held nothing back, and totally immersed myself in the Violet Flame, it looked a little like this (in my mind).
Although, probably to those around me, it looked more like this:
When we worked together, when I engaged in conversation about the Violet Flame, when I did the Decrees with others, when you shared your experiences here and on Facebook, it felt a lot like this:
And now that we’re coming to the end of the project, I find that it has become real to me, that I AM a Being of Violet Fire, that I know the truth of it, and no matter if I fall asleep on the job, or get overly excited about it, the flame will always be there in my knowing, in my feeling, in my being.
Acts of Kindness – Project Summary
Here is an overview of our mini project: Random Acts of Kindness. This post provides links to pertinent aspects of this project, so that you won’t have to sift through the archives to find out what you want to know.
Our original idea and statement of intent is here.
If you would like to try this project for yourself, you can start on Day One: A Shoe Story, and then continue on thru Day Ten: New Years Resolutions posting your thoughts, ideas, results, joys and disappointments as you go. This is an active blog, and if you post, we will notice and reply.. and give you the benefit of our own experience and our support if it seems pertinent or appropriate.
You can find complete listing of the day by day links at the bottom of this post.
The basic summary of our results is not posted. This is because our random acts of kindness project was an exercise in simple kindness. To have practiced kindness for monetary gain would have defeated the purpose of the concept.
As promised, here is the complete listing of the daily posts for the Random Acts of Kindness 10 day project:
- Day One: A Shoe Story
- Day Two: A Bit of Bovine Wisdom
- Day Three: Here Are Some Easy Ideas
- Day Four: Be Kind to Mother Earth
- Day Five: Merry Christmas
- Day Six: Let’s Go Shopping
- Day Seven: Thoughtfulness is Kindness
- Day Eight: Here’s a life changing action
- Day Nine: Food for Thought
- Day Ten: New Years Resolutions
Gypsy Magic: Our Results
The time has come now to report your experiences and results with Gypsy Magick. Here are some questions to help get the conversation started:
- Was it fun?
- Did it work?
- Your favorite spell? Your least favorite spell?
- Was it easy? Hard?
- Did you learn anything?
- Would you do it again?
- How many spells did you do?
- Is there anything else you want to say about it?
What follows are the results that were reported.

It worked really well for me. I met all my goals. And it was a blast! My favorite spell was the wealthy week spell, where I lit a candle surrounded by money.
I learned so much by doing this. I learned that money can be my friend. It can come and go.. just like friends do. But when the money goes – it doesn’t mean the relationship is over. Just like when a friend leaves my home, it doesn’t mean that I won’t ever see them again.
I also learned a lot from the toilet paper spell. I have been able to let go of anxiety over my checking account being depleted when I pay bills.. I just think of how the toilet tank has to refill after flushing..
I think the most important thing I came away with is a friendliness towards my money and my bills.
The “removing misfortune” spell, burying bottles with garlic and thorns on church property while saying the lord’s prayer was way too much fun.. I haven’t had that kind of fun in years.. so that was by far and above my best “experience”.
The hardest spells were the last ones.. the ones to remove blocks.. I found myself really challanged with the doing of them. Interesting huh?
And yes, I would do it again. And again. And again. I love being a “gypsy witch”.. and I love making magic.

I can’t say I had very good luck with the gypsy magic, but things didn’t get worse, anyway! I didn’t have time to do a lot of the spells and hope to do them at a later date. I’m glad so many other people had good luck with it! I also need to work on the ones that remove blocks!

Hi guys, Well I just loved the Gypsy Magic. I had so much fun doing all the spells. I think I am following in my mom’s footsteps, I am a Gypsy Witch at heart also.
I believe that it worked. I had a lot of luck with it. I too had trouble doing the unblock spells. I can honestly say that I did every spell, every day, until it was time for the unblocking spells.
I loved all the spells I did, but I think the two I liked the best was the full moon spell with the white candle and the mint, and the urgent money spell.
The ones didn’t like as much was the unblocking spells…hmmm… I wonder what that means? I guess that is why I am not fully prosperious yet.
I am going to continue to do some of the spells and I am really going to work on the unblocking spells. Anyway, well I had lots of fun with this and I hope the next one is as fun. I am sure it will be.
