How it works
This experiment is based on the intention-manifestation model of reality, where the goal is to generate $1 million of additional wealth for each person who chooses to participate.
If you wish to participate, all you need to do is to decide to put forth the following intention:
In an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, in its own perfect time, for the highest good of all, I intend $1,000,000 to come into my life and into the lives of everyone who holds this intention.
Spend time each day thinking about this intention. You can write it down, post it on a wall, recite it aloud, memorize it, visualize it happening, sing it, express it artistically, blog about it, discuss it with others, meditate on it, pray it, or otherwise put some positive thought energy behind it. Tell the universe to “make it so” in whatever way you feel is a good fit for your current belief system.
Your minimum level of participation is to consciously think about the intention above for just 60 seconds per day. Sometime each day remind yourself to pause, take a deep breath, review the intention, focus your creative conscious energy on it with the expectation that it will manifest, and then release it completely. Allow the universe to handle the details. You’re always free to do more, but commit yourself to at least 60 seconds each day for as long as you wish to continue the experiment. Treat it like an item on your daily to do list, or establish a regular time for it to make it a habit.
You don’t have to physically do anything until and unless you feel intuitively guided to do so. Allow the universe to handle the details, and don’t be concerned with how the money will manifest. Just focus on the intention while remaining detached from any particular outcome.
Stay on the lookout for synchronicities (i.e. unusual coincidences) and new opportunities that may come into your life as a result of this experiment, especially within the first 48 hours. And when a new opportunity comes to you as a result of this intention, take advantage of it if you feel drawn to action.
Million Dollar Experiment FAQ
1. Do we have to sign up on Steve Pavlina’s website in order to participate in the experiment?
It is, of course, up to you. Signing up at his site is not mandatory, and the prosperity project police won’t come and put you in jail if you don’t (smile). If you are hesitant to give your name out, you can sign up there as an anonymous participant. I do think, that if we are doing the Steve Pavlina Million Dollar Experiment, it would make sense to sign up at his website. Otherwise we would just be doing an imitation of his experiment. Personally, I am a firm believer in the power of numbers, and I think that the more people doing it together, the better. So I’m signing up.
2. Who is Steve Pavlina anyway?
I do not know. If you are interested in finding out about him, there is a lot of info on his site, StevePavlina.com. I heard about the project on one of the forums at Zaadz.
3. Will we be logging into the prosperity project every day? or will we be going to his site?
We will be logging on here at the prosperity project every day that it’s possible, and sharing the ideas and opportunities that happen to come our way. If you like Steve Pavlina’s site, you could certainly go there, but except for the initial signing up, any visits to his site will be purely optional.
What Is The Million Dollar Experiment?
The Million Dollar Experiment was an intention-manifestation experiment that ran from Nov 2005 to Feb 2007.
The goal of the experiment was to attempt to use the power of intention to manifest $1 million for each person who chose to participate. It was 100% free with no costs of any kind.
The basic experiment was outlined in two blog posts on Steve Pavlina‘s website: Million Dollar Experiment and Million Dollar Experiment 2.0.
Results
A total of 1730 people participated in the experiment publicly, although not everyone started at the same time. Those people reported manifesting a combined total of $1,247,929.17 in extra money.
The Intention
Each person who chose to participate agreed to consciously hold the following intention:

Big Money Symbols
If you want big money for the good things in life, the Prosperity area is where to get it. If you need money to get out of the hole or just to pay monthly bills, the Family area will help you to acquire basic maintenance money so you can focus on the good stuff. We will get to the Family area later this month.
Feng Shui activity for today:
Add a symbol that reminds you of wealth and abundance.
This area of the home is also for blessings, so it’s a good area where you can acknowledge what you have been blessed with already.
Put a photo of your dream house, dream car, dream vacation in this area. You can cut out a picture from a magazine – but remember, the universe takes you literally, so be careful when you place your “order.”
Get the cash flowing with moving water – guppies in a glass, or a waterfall. Just make sure the water is clean and isn’t the toilet. You can even hang a picture of a waterfall.
- Add a round-leaved plant such as a jade plant or an African violet. Keep the plants friendly (no cactus) and healthy (no plant hospitals!)
- Use a moving object to get the chi moving around you.
- Place a full piggy bank or the Boardwalk and Park Place Monopoly game pieces in this area.
- Fan nine dollar bills out and place them behind furniture to get the money flowing.

Urgent Money Spell
The Romanies say that when money is urgently needed by a certain date, this spell works wonders. One thing to remember: it must be performed at the witching hour of midnight.
Take one white votive (or tea light) candle to represent each $100 or $1,000 that you critically need. Stand them on a plate you often eat from.
At a quarter to midnight, sit in a room with no electric lights. Light a gold or silver, green or white candle (not one of those representing the needed money). This is the candle that will give power to the “money” votive candles and will enable you to see what you are doing.
Now work your magic. Pray for a circle of gold light to be placed around you for protection and for a circle of blue light to be placed around you for healing.
Pick up a votive candle and light it from the main candle flame. As you do so, say that the votive you are lighting represents the $100 or $1000 you need. Place on the plate to begin a circle of “money” candles.
Light each votive, and say the same words for each, until the circle is complete.
Say a prayer explaining that you are not being greedy; that the money is necessary. Leave the candles to burn out of their own accord. The money will soon start winging its way to you.

Wealthy Week – Last Day
This is the last day of Wealthy Week. Tonight we burn a green candle, saying “Thank you for the money I have already received form the invisible world.” Leave the candle to burn down and extinguish itself. Now you can gather up the coins and use them however you wish.
What a cool picture huh? I finally got it uploaded. Whew! That took me all day. So tomorrow we are going to be venturing out into new territory. Trying new spells. The focus with the full moon and then the waning of her thereafter will be on eliminating problems, disposing of blockages, and stuff like that. Some of the spells will be “interesting” and with the weather being what it is, maybe even really really hard. So I will upload an alternative for them.

Wealthy Week – Day 6
This is day six of Wealthy Week, only one more day of colored candles and coins and then we are on to something new and different. A variety of objects will be needed for Sunday, I don’t think any of them will be hard to find. You can find a preview of our Sunday project over at Gyspy Magic Spells and Charms. Also it might be a good idea to review our Gathering Supplies post to see what’s coming up.
This evening, we burn a blue candle surrounded by piles of loose change. It is important not to count the cash. If there are so few coins you cannot help but notice, cover them with a handkerchief. Watching the candle flame, say:
“Thank you for the money I have already received from the invisible world.”
Leave the candle to burn down and extinguish itself. Afterward gather up the coins for use tomorrow night.
What an awesome picture this is. I wonder what it was like to grow up in a house like this! It makes me want a gypsy wagon and a gypsy lifestyle, but then I would have to have horses, and a man to take care of the horses, the wagon wheels, and firewood. And I would want my family and friends riding along with me; I would want to be traveling in a place where we DON’T have blizzards and 10 inches of snow; I would want to be young enough to enjoy it, and old enough to feel comfortable and settled into it. I wonder, would I miss my computer really a lot? And where would I put all my stuff?
Wealthy Week – Day 5
This is day 5 of Wealthy Week, and tonight we burn a green candle surrounded by our accumulated pile of coins. Remember to look into the candle flame and say thank you to the invisible world for the money you have received.
Some of you may not be aware of this, but my great great grandfather ran away with a gypsy and came back 2 years later with a baby. This baby was my great grandfather. I also have an undetermined amount of Rom on my mother’s side of the family. So my “gypsy intuition” is usually pretty right on. And it tells me that today could be a dangerous day if a person is not careful. The “eye” is a powerful symbol of protection, and I am posting this “eye of Horus” as a protective spell around each of us today.
