Music is a powerful motivator, anchor and stimulant.
In a moment, think about a song that motivates you particularly, that has a bright energy which will help you work. Think of it, hum it or whistle it briefly so we know what we’re doing.
Now, make a list of ten songs that motivate you.
That’s the exercise for today!
Of course, you can make a “success playlist” for yourself, or sing, hum and whistle any of your favorites any time to give you an instant boost.

Ok… here’s my list of 10 songs that motivate me…
Well… actually, mostly it’s a list of bands whose music gets me moving and grooving.. but there’s a song or two in there…
1. Rock Lobster
2.J J Kale always makes me feel like everything is going to be OK
3. Jerry Lee Lewis… he can get me moving and grooving
4. The Dead South.. another band that can get me off the couch.
5. When I really really don’t want to do it (whatever it is)… I listen to John Lee Hooker and somehow that helps
6. hmmm…. well… there are a bunch of songs by The Stooges.. that do me pretty good
7. The Doors are a favorite group, but for me, Jim Morrison is more like church, so not so much something that gets me inspired to “succeed” … more like he comforts my soul
8 Santana is nice for a day when the windows are open and I already have some energy and enthusiasm..
9. Did I say Rock Lobster? Probably, but that is my # 1 song for “get off your ass and move”
10 The Hu Band… they only have 2 songs out that I could find…. but wow… I feel alive when I listen to them.
