“I have a credit card and I’m not afraid to use it!”
Mastering Your Mastercard … well that’s a fine title, don’t you think?
Look, a credit card is like a DOG – either you get it under control, or it will control your life and drive you crazy. And cutting up your credit card is like the ultimate admission of DEFEAT – I can’t control my dog so I shot it!
So today, we’re going to release our fear of our credit cards and get our head around the fact that they are very, very useful and can be a tremendous ASSET in our lives – but we must stop being afraid of them first!
In a moment, close your eyes and imagine your credit card (your first, your favourite, your worst!). Take a moment to consider that you’re many times bigger and you have hands and all of that, whereas the card is a very small and flat piece of plastic!
It’s no contest!
Flip the card from one hand into the other and understand that it’s just a form of reverse bank account and that you have NOTHING WHATSOEVER to fear from this, and much to gain if you TREAT IT RIGHT.
Finally just shrink the card to the size of a stamp, then an ant, then make it implode altogether and – go to work.

Keeping Your Eye On The Ball
Sometimes, we get so wrapped up in our day to day doings that we forget why we are doing what we are doing.
So today, let’s take a deep breath and remember back to when it was that you started out on this business, this path.
- Why did you choose this?
- What was it about this that excited you above all else?
- What is your business all about in the greater context of your life?
This is what it’s all about – even if you’re doing something mundane or boring.
And it is good to remember that sometimes.

Calvin is RIGHT! Talent, education and genius are nice if you have them, but SUCCESS comes from perseverance.

Let’s take internet marketing. When I started with that, coming up for ten years ago, there were loads of people around then, just as there is now. Ten years on, and out of everyone I knew back then, I am the only one still standing!
I was utterly hopeless back then and still am not exactly a “born marketer”, but you just CAN’T do ANYTHING AT ALL for that long and NOT get reasonably good at it!!
So today, I want you to use our 60 seconds of thinking of something you tried at one time, didn’t succeed and gave it up for a lost cause. Something, that if you had another go and managed to get even a little bit further would seriously help you get wealthy, powerful and happy – right now.

The Bigger Picture
Today, we have a simple thought exercise that helps us learn to “zoom” better because when you have an empire to run, you need to be able to return to the “bigger picture” now and then!
We start simply with a valuable object, such as a diamond ring, or a large golden coin.
- Now, zoom out and note that this is a part of a treasure chest.
- Zoom out again – WHERE is this treasure chest? It is standing on …
- Zoom out again – like you are seeing the landscape where the treasure chest is from a hot air balloon.
- Zoom out again – see the landscape from a high flying jet plane.
- Zoom out one more time – see the entire planet upon which our chest is located.
- Now reverse the movement until you are back with the coin in the chest.
Pick it up, put it in your pocket and – well done!

Fairy Godmother
You know the story about the princess who had three good fairy godmothers, who gave her special gifts when she was born?
They gave her gifts such as beauty, and luck; understanding and strength, and you can imagine that a child blessed with such gifts would have a radiant life, no matter what life might throw at them.
Today, YOU are going to be YOUR OWN fairy godmother/godfather, and in a moment, I want you to attend YOUR OWN birth across time and space, and give the newborn child three special gifts that will make life very different from this moment forth.

Fast Forward
Time in mind is one of those things that you need to be able to learn to control, to be able to not exactly foresee the future, but to be able to track forward and have a sense how your actions in the now SHAPE THE FUTURE TO COME.
This is an easy, quick “fast time” technique to practice that skill.
- In a moment, find yourself in a green and fertile valley.
- In your hand you hold a seed that will become a tree.
- Plant the seed, just push it into the rich and fertile soil, that’s all you have to do.
Now find a pleasant place to sit down, look at the place where you planted the seed and WATCH IT GROW in fast time, yet smoothly, as the seedling breaks through the surface and extends its first leaves, reaches and stretches, and more leaves flow forward from the tip, as the tree grows and literally UNFOLDS into its natural shape, with such elegance and ease, further and wider, the roots reaching just as the leaves and branches above stretch and grow, more and more, until we reach a point where the tree is mature, and here we gently bring back time to ordinary flow.
Walk to the tree, touch its bark, look up and see its canopy of leaves and the sunlight twinkling through, have a smile and return to your daily duties.

Well, good day to you and today’s “make your dreams come true” item is – record keeping! Yes, delicious, wondrous RECORD KEEPING.
Where would we be without it? Al Capone DIED IN JAIL because he didn’t keep his tax records up to date. Remember that! He just didn’t appreciate the sexy, exciting data base in all its guises and appearances, and of course, he didn’t have a PC to make it easy as well as profitable to keep his records in order.
So for today’s exercise, spend 60 seconds on coming up with an ABSOLUTE decision to improve your record keeping to such elegance and smoothness, the tax people would gasp in adoration!

That Beach Sensation
Do you know what the VERY FIRST thing is that people do when they get to be on holiday and holiday has arrived for real?
They take off their shoes and they wriggle their toes!
That’s scientifically established, but what is not as widely known is that you can recreate that state of “All’s well with the world” the other way around.
So, in a moment, take off your shoes and for 60 seconds, stretch out your legs and wriggle your toes for that fabulous beach sensation.

Pour Out Old Limitations
Let’s make another “astral rubbish collection” using the Thought Flow technique.
- Hold your hands out.
- Imagine that you are holding a sphere in front of you.
- Today, we are going to pour into this sphere our old limitations.
Memories of failure, evil words of criticism, thoughts that undermine you, people who disrespected and hurt you, and all that rubbish from the past that belongs in its rightful time and space – and that ain’t here with us, right now!
- Let all of that stream from you and into the globe.
- Then raise it up, high up over your head, and throw it behind you.
