Frankincense
The Oils:
- 3 parts Frankincense
- 2 parts Basil
- 2 parts Juniper
- 1/2 part Orange
Color: Red
Uses:
For use in attuning with the element of Fire, or for rituals involving strength, courage, passion, lust, etc.
Note:
The proportions here, though for essential oils, are by parts. One part may equal six drops. Generally speaking, there shouldn’t be more than ten total drops of essential oil per half-cup of bath salts. Experiment to find what works best, and please use only genuine essential oils. You should remember, too, the irritating qualities of some essential oils, and use accordingly.
Bath Salts:

Uses:
Bathe in this mixture for a heavy psychic cleansing. Splash fresh water over your body after the bath.
Caution:
Do not add more than one drop of clove oil – it can be irritating.

Bathe in Circle Bath before any form of ritual work to strengthen, purify and prepare yourself for ritual.

- 5 oz. Talc or Corn Starch
- 1/4 oz. Cinnamon
- 1 oz. Sandalwood
- 1/2 tsp. sweet basil
- 10 drops frankincense oil
- 8 drops jasmine oil
- 6 drops patchouli oil
- 1 tsp. myrtle oil
Mix together and place in a red container. Use it as body powder when you want to be irresistible.
Said to help increase your own power. Anoint on the forehead, throat, breast bone, and above the navel. Useful in any ritual when designed to increase your own power in any situation. Anoint on charms for psychic and spiritual development.
Mix together equal parts of grated lemon peel or lemon flowers and frankincense. Add two tablespoons of the powder to two ounces of oil.
- 3 parts Frankincense

- ½ part Jasmine flowers
- 3 drops sweet White Wine or Sherry
This botanical powder makes no promises about bringing good fortune but allegedly counteracts bad luck and protects from its effects. Nine, seven, and five are numbers of protection – incorporate these numbers into the quantities of botanicals used.
Blend the following ingredients, grinding them together:
- Nine dried bay leaves crumbled
- Frankincense
- Juniper berries
- Cloves
- Dried dill
- Dried fennel
- Dried tarragon
Make substantial quantities. Carry some with you in a mojo bag, while keeping more within the home as fragrant, protective potpourri.

- 3 tbsp frankincense
- 3 drops orange oil
- 3 tbsp crushed juniper berries
- 1 – 2 tbsp dried mistletoe leaves
In a small bowl or with mortar and pestle blend frankincense with orange and juniper oils. Add crushed juniper berries and mistletoe, and mix until blended. Burn on a charcoal block. Mistletoe berries are poisonous when ingested, so exercise caution.
Add the following ingredients to 1/8 cup of jojoba oil. As you mix the oils, inhale the aroma and visualize the intended purpose for the blend. For best results, use therapeutic grade organic oils instead of synthetics.
- 3 drops Frankincense
- 1 drop Ginger
- 1 drop Black Pepper
- 1 drop Petitgrain
You can wear Aries oil when the moon is in Aries, and also when the Sun is in Aries. If you are a Aries, wear the blend to increase your personal power.

To create an incense to be used in Samhain (Halloween) rituals and spells, combine the following finely crushed dried herbs:
- 2 tsp Nettles
- 2 tsp Bayleaf
- 2 tsp Calendula
- 2 tsp Sage
- 2 tsp Tarragon
- 2 tsp Oak Leaf
To this powder, add 2 drops Frankincense and 2 drops Myrrh oil to create the incense.
