Here is a recipe for an herbal uncrossing vinegar you can use all year long. In a decorative jar or bottle, place 3 garlic cloves, 3 peppercorns, sprigs of rosemary, sage, and thyme, and a pinch of sea salt. Cover with vinegar. Close the lid and seal it with melted wax. Hold it in your hands and charge it with the following:
“Vinegar strong and herbs of power,
I charge you now within this hour.
Uncross, uncross, with powers imbue,
I charge you now, uncrossing brew.”
Leave the vinegar to sit undisturbed for one month, then break the seal and use it for uncrossing spells. Pour some over your doorstep to protect you from negative vibes. Write down your troubles and cover the list in the vinegar. Mix a little with water for a floor wash. Get creative.

Herbs can be mixed and combined to produce a “recipe” that’s just right for each of us. Since the Sun sign you were born under has such an amazing influence on your health and well-being, using the herbs that correspond with that sign alone can be a tremendous help in times of stress or illness. Here’s a short list of herbs that seem to be tailor-made due to their associations with both the planetary ruler and the positive qualities of this sign.
- Anise,
- Bittersweet,
- Citron,
- Dandelion,
- Lemon Verbena,
- Rosemary,
- Sage.
The sign of Aquarius is a cerebral one, and your ability to turn “odd” or eccentric ideas into strokes of genius is well known. Since communication (and mass communication in particular) is your specialty, the herbs above are all associated with the air principle, which rules the intellectual side of life. To increase your already powerful intuition, use Citron, Clover, or Rosemary. Above all else, listen to that intuition. It will seldom prove to be wrong.

There’s no sign that hangs on to youth with more fervency and determination than Sagittarius. To keep that youthful appearance and disposition going as you travel the world in search of yet another experience, drink a tea made of Anise, Rosemary, and Vervain. To aid in making your dreams more prophetic than they already are, use Mugwort. Burn clove incense to attract the wealth you’ll need to pay for your travels.

To rid yourself of negative, bad habits as will as their root causes:
- 2 parts Rosemary
- 1 part: Lavender, Lemon grass, Lemon Verbena, and/or Sage
Once you’ve gathered the ingredients, put them in a large mixing bowl and mix with your hands. Place a handful or so in a large square of muslin or other porous fabric and tie up the ends. Add this to your bath.
After the sachet has colored the water, step into the tub. Lie back and visualize yourself happily avoiding the habit or other negative condition – smoking, drinking, drugs, depressions, obsessions, etc. Visualize the water absorbing your desire and need for the habit. See in your mind’s eye all the energy you’ve been giving to this negative condition.
