• Meditate on your question as you burn copal incense.
• Toss small pieces or balls of copal into a pot or bowl of water.

If the copal floats in the water, your answer is affirmative. If the balls sink, the response is negative. The likelihood of success is indicated by whether more or fewer bits of copal float.
