today I did this

Feeling Discouraged

I really shouldn’t ever look at my stat counter reports because it always discourages me, especially when I know I have uploaded some really cool stuff, and nobody sees it. And then when page views go down… well… sigh…

And I keep telling myself that it really doesn’t matter, because I enjoy my website, I like how it challenges me to learn about all kinds of different stuff, and it gives me an easy way to save and share ideas and insights with family and friends.

Plus, it’s a complicated site, and not really in sync with the way things are normally done, so there’s that….

Also, there’s the Google thing. Google pretty much determines who sees what, and what gets seen when a person does a search. Their algorithms are tweaked to benefit Google’s bank account. And my website doesn’t do Google any financial favors. We are ad free. So there’s that!

So that’s my rant for the day. And now on to the posting of stuff that I have uploaded today:

This is a hot mess of a list. Most of the posts are random stuff that I wanted to clear out of folders because I am tired of looking at them. They can be found at More Cool Pictures, and Totally Random.

The Hawaiian Healing Technique is pretty interesting if you have never heard of Ho’oponopono. The 20 Ways To Maintain A Healthy Level Of Insanity is a fun read. I might even try a couple of the things on the list. The Sign Of Purification post is a Native American Prophecy which you might find interesting.

Things I Remember really got to me. It’s what I remember about my childhood, and brought up a lot of old emotions. So, now I’m feeling done with the internet and ready for a some fresh air and a nap… or maybe just a nap.

Onward We Go

This is the part of the week where I am really challenged because I am too busy with my “real” job and my “real” life to get much stuff posted, and at the same time I am getting more and more ideas… That being said, the one and only post I have uploaded today is a lot of fun!

I am not sure if I will get much more posted later on when I get home from work. If I do, I’ll add it here, and if I don’t … well … go check out my “Questions For God” post.

A Slow Start

I’m getting off to a slow start today. Found something nice and simple to post, and then spent a couple of hours trying to find the exact right image to illustrate it with. Image searches are fun and fraught with dangerous interludes of getting way off track and distracted by pretty things, cool art, and interesting oddities. So… like I said, a slow start.

Anyway, this is what I have so far today:

Bits and Pieces

I have a little bit of time today, so I have been working behind the scenes on the Prosperity Project. Here’s what I will be sharing later on as the Here Comes The Sun project progresses:

Then I went looking for a recipe my daughter sent me back in January:

And then, somehow, I found myself looking at emails she had forwarded to me way back in 2006. So I decided to share them:

Which lead to various image searches and so there is this (which might be the best of the bunch):

Decisions… Decisions…

Now that I’m hard at work on the upcoming Prosperity Project, I’ve been trying to decide how I want to go about sharing content that I have already posted on other mini-sites. Do I want to simply copy and paste them and have duplicate content? Or do I want to do a list of links and make all new content? And what about stuff that I’m going to share later on in the project, but which would be pertinent and appropriate for right now on the magick pages?

And what I have decided to do is NOT to worry about duplicate content and just do what feels least complicated and easiest for me. So, this means that much of what I share here may have been posted earlier, and will be posted again later on as part of the project, and I have decided that this is okay.

So, in a way, the links to posts about the Sun that I have shared here are a “sneak peak” at the Here Comes The Sun project. That being said, today we have the following:

Bringing In The Sun

Today appears to be the day that I actually start getting ready for the next Prosperity Project. This time around we are going to be harnessing the power of the Sun to bring us energy, prosperity, and all good things. It’s a 30 day project and most of the posts will be prescheduled, so I won’t be able to share all the links here today.

However, in anticipation of the project, I have uploaded the following posts, some of which will be shared as part of the project later on, and some of which are simply related to the Sun in one way or another.
