Add the following ingredients to 1/8 cup of sesame oil. Visualize the Goddess as you mix the essential oils and inhale the fragrance. For best results, use therapeutic grade organic oils instead of synthetics.

Ingredients:

  • 3 drops Myrrh
  • 2 drops Cypress
  • 1 drop Sandalwood
  • 1 dried Mugwort leaf (optional)

This blend can be worn during the Waning Moon to honor Hekate, Goddess of the Fading Crescent. It can also be worn during rituals and magicks having to do with death, intuitive wisdom, dreams, divination, witchcraft, transition, child birth, and gateways or passages to other realms.

Note: Be cautious in the use of this blend as Mugwort is quite powerful and used in excess can be dangerous. A mint leaf can be used as a substitute for the Mugwort.

The optimum time to make this oil is 5 days following the new moon. But it can be made any time during the new or crescent moon phase.

Supplies:

  • A small item made of gold
  • Olive oil
  • Small clean container (preferably glass) with a tight fitting lid
  • Powdered cinnamon or cinnamon essential oil

Instructions:

  • Place the item made of gold into the container
  • Add a pinch of cinnamon or a drop of cinnamon essential oil
  • Pour enough olive into the container to cover the item and fill the container to the halfway mark.

Cradle the container in your hands and think about how grateful and happy you are for the prosperity that you already have, and for the prosperity that is coming to you.

Then gently breathe this gratitude and happiness into the container, continue to breathe it into the container until it has been filled the rest of the way to the top with loving gratitude.

Put the lid on the container, and tighten it.

Tap the lid with your middle finger once and say:
“Thank you to the Father”
Tap the lid with your middle finger a second time and say:
“Thank you to the Mother”
Tap the lid with your middle finger for a third time and say:
“Thank you to the Living Spirit in all things”

This prosperity oil will gradually increase in potency as the moon waxes toward full, and can be used at any time.

On the full moon:

  • Remove the gold item – and gently and lovingly clean it.
  • Drop a pinch of powdered ginger into the container.

Cradle the container in your hands and think about how grateful and happy you are for the prosperity that you already have, and for the prosperity that is coming to you.

Put the lid on the container, and tighten it.

“Thank you to the Father”
Tap the lid with your middle finger a second time and say
“Thank you to the Mother”
Tap the lid with your middle finger for a third time and say
“Thank you to the Living Spirit in all things”

Hints and tips:

If it seems that there is no prosperity in your life to be grateful for, think of something that makes you happy, or someone you love.

A Sacajawea gold dollar is a great item to use – and they can be purchased for $1 at your local bank.

This liquid is used as a hexing agent. Write your problem on paper and soak the paper in the vinegar. Allow it to dry and then burn it to be rid of the problem.

To make Four Thieves Vinegar, take a bottle of apple cider vinegar and add the following herbs in handfuls.

  • Rosemary
  • Wormwood
  • Rue
  • Camphor (optional)
  • Patchouli

Heat the mixture to almost boiling once a day for four days in a row. Strain and cap it tightly. Store in a dark place.

Note: There are a number of different recipes for the Four Thieves Vinegar, and this is just one of them.

  • Vervain leaves – 4 stalks worth
  • Honey 1/4 cup
  • Florida water or other perfume (a few dabs)
  • 1-1/2 cups of water

Blend all ingredients in a blender. Combine this in a gallon jug and fill with warm water.

Stand in shower and dump mixture all over, then just towel off. Its an invigorating herbal wash that is great after ritual or when you feel slightly off kilter.

Note: I like the combination, and I do think it would be very grounding – however, if you’re worried that it sounds like it would be sticky, I would recommend this variation:

Combine the Honey, the Vervain, and the Florida Water (or perfume of your choice) with cornmeal to the consistency of a scrub. Scrub your body and then rinse with lots of warm spring water.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup salt
  • 5 drops cherry oil
  • 2 drops anise oil

Add the essential oils drop by drop, one ingredient at a time, until the scent seems right. Mix with a spoon (or shake) until all salt particles are moistened. Be prepared to spend some time doing this, perhaps a half hour or so. Here is where a plastic bag comes in handy!

If the Bath Salts are mixed for a ritual purpose, visualize the energies within the oils merging with each other and with the salt as you mix. Keep the salt’s goal in mind while you stir. Use or store until needed.

Lightly mix the ingredients together and place them in a jar for storage. A great prosperity blend.

The following magickal rhyme is a powerful witches incantation that can be used for any potion you brew-up, recite it while visualizing your intent within your mind’s eye, you may repeat it several times out loud or to yourself:

“Herbal potion, cauldron brew, now be charged with magick true.
With intent I speak this charm,, all be blessed and none be harmed.
Ever minding the law of three, This is my will, so mote it be”

In a jar or bottle combine the following ingredients:

  • 2 Tablespoons each of Frankincense and Myrrh

Sprinkle water very lightly around home in discreet places (i.e., in closets) and anoint the bottom of your shoes and those of loved ones. Dispose of remainder immediately after use.

  • Purpose: to protect yourself and/or loved ones from all types of harm.

Drink this tea an hour before undertaking any form of divination. If you wish, you can continue sipping it throughout the divination process.

  • 3 tsp rose petals
  • 1 tsp jasmine flowers
  • 2 crushed bay leaves
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon

Note: This blend is for one person and is intended to have half a pint of boiling water poured over it. Allow the infusion to stand for 10 minutes before straining and do not stir, as this bruises the plants. Obviously, you can adjust the amount of water or standing time to your own taste. If you prefer your tea sweet, add a little honey, not sugar, to the strained infusion.
