Get Rid of an Unwanted Suitor

Here is a good spell for getting rid of an unwanted suitor. Take a small square of paper and write on it the name of the annoying would-be lover. Use black ink for this. Many Gypsies also say that it is best to use one of the old “dip” pens and ink, rather than a modern ballpoint, but you could experiment.

Let the ink dry; don’t blot it. Then light a white candle and burn the piece of paper in its flame while thinking of the person running away from you. Catch the ashes in something (burning the paper over an ashtray is a good idea) and carry them out to a hillside (you can do this by putting them in a small plastic bag, similar). There you must place the ashes on the upturned palm of your right hand and hold it up, saying:

Winds of the North, East, South and West,
Carry these affections to where they’ll be best.
Let her/his heart be open and free,
And let her/his mind be away from me.

Then blow on the ashes so that they scatter to the winds.

Red For Love

The Gypsies say that to find anything red means luck in love. If you find a piece of red thread, red wool, a red button, or whatever, pick it up and carry it with you for luck. It serves as an amulet.

As you stoop to pick it up, think of the person you love and say:

Red is my blood
And red is my heart.
Lucky in love;
Never keep us apart.

To Bring Out The Love of Another

This is an interesting spell. It does not interfere with another’s free will. All it does is give them the courage to state what is on their mind. It is done when you feel very strongly that the person is in love with you but that they hesitate to say so. If it turns out that they are not in love with you after all, then it simply won’t work, so that’s why it doesn’t exert undue pressure.

This should be done at the same hour on seven consecutive Fridays, ending on the one closest to the Full Moon (before the moon reaches full, not just after).

Take a pink candle and mark six rings around it, at equal distances apart. This will give you seven sections of a candle.

Light the candle and call out the name of the one you think loves you. Then say:

Gana, be with me in all that I do.
Gana, please bring me a love who is true.
Give him (her) the strength to put into words
His (her) feelings, and sing like the song of the birds.

Think about the person for a few moments – think of them coming to you and declaring their love then repeat the chant. Keep doing this until the candle has burned dawn to the first line. Then extinguish the candle (by pinching it out, never by blowing) and put it away till next week. On the final week, keep it up until the candle burns itself out.

To Make Yourself Known to Another

If you love another and they don’t seem to notice, then this can bring you to their attention.

You need to find their footprints in the earth. You then dig up this footprint (more correctly, the earth in which it is impressed). Take the earth to the nearest willow tree and, making a hole in the ground at its base, put the footprint earth into the hole, filling it over with the original dirt. As you are burying the footprint this way, say:

“Many earths on earth there be, I make my love know unto thee.
For He is the flower and I the stem;
He the cock and I the hen.
Grow, grow willow tree! Sorrow not for the likes of me.”

From then on you will find that the person you yearn for will indeed start to notice you. Where it goes from there, of course, is up to you.

To Rid Yourself of an Unwanted Lover

Some people are wooed by persistent would-be lovers, those who won’t take no for an answer and who won’t leave them alone. This is the ideal spell for such a situation. It should be done during the waning cycle of the Moon – that is, after the Full Moon and before the New Moon.

Have a roaring fire going, then go outside and pick up two handfuls of dry vervain leaves (you can place them on the ground ahead of time, if necessary.) As you pick them up, shout out the name of the one you wish to be rid of. Turn and go into the house (or cross to the fire if this is all done out in the open) and fling leaves onto the fire with the words:

Here is my pain;
Take it and soar.
Depart from me now
And offend me no more.

Do this for three nights in a row. You should hear no more from the unwanted one.

How to Find Love, Gypsy~ Style

“On Friday early as may be,
Take the fairest apple from a tree,
Then in thy blood on paper white
Thy own name and thy true love’s write,
That apple thou in two shalt cut,
And for its cure that paper put,
With two sharp pins of myrtle wood
Join the halves till it seem good,
In the oven let it dry,
And wrapped in leaves of myrtle lie,
Under the pillow of thy dear,
Yet let it be unknown to her
And if it a secret be
She soon will show her love for thee.”

Spell to Conceive A Daughter

nuoc-oi

You need to prepare and work this spell when you are reaching your most fertile time of the month.

The idea is to make a doll that resembles you as closely as possible. Take some modeling clay and mold it into the form of a pregnant woman, press hair from your comb into her head, dress her in clothes like yours, even cut out a photo of your face and place it on hers.

When the doll is prepared, place her on a bed of fresh lavender or on a pink scarf sprinkled with lavender oil. (Lavender is a masculine flower, as its shape dictates, and it attracts love.) Take her to a table in a room without electric lights, and light a pink candle to the right of her.

Using clean, white paper write the phrase:

“I wish to conceive a daughter.”

Place the paper beneath the lavender or scarf.

Fold the paper around the doll on her bed and tie a yellow ribbon or cord around her. Place your doll beside your pillow, or on a bedside table, with a piece of quartz crystal and a moonstone. Quartz is sometimes called “sacred fire” because it intensifies the rays and energy of the sun, a masculine force. Moonstone, governed by the moon, is a feminine, emotional stone. Its nature and aura improve health and reveal the future. Like females, it changes with the moon; it transmits energy to health when the moon is waxing and gives power to desires when the moon is waning.

Your partner’s desire completes the spell and brings it to fruition.

Spell to Conceive a Son

9D79A9CD-0783-41D7-BA1C-73EE5222141B

At your most fertile time of the month, place one red rose in a vase on a table.

Light a red candle, which is symbolic of Mars, ruler of vigor and vitality. Next, light a green candle. This color is associated with Venus, love, and harmony. Place it to the right of the red candle. Place a yellow candle, to represent the sun, above the red and the green candles to form a triangle. The number three represents the male reproductive organ, and sexual force.

On a bay leaf – because bay is ruled by the sun – write the phrase “I wish to conceive a son.” Place it face up between the candles.

Now close your eyes and imagine a red rosebud in your womb. Visualize the rosebud unfolding and coming into bloom.

Open your eyes and visualize the candle light being channeled into your womb, then close your eyes and continue with the visualization for as long as you can.

Leave the candles to burn themselves out. Take the bay leaf, kiss it three times, and place it under your pillow, where it should stay throughout your fertile phase.

All that is required now is the cooperation of your partner.

Spell for Sunshine

helios-and-clytie-melinda-mccarthy

No need to cross your fingers and hope for good weather. According to the Romanies, you can make the sun shine whenever you want it to.

Here’s how:

  • Light a golden candle.
  • Draw a five-inch map of the area where you want the sun to shine.
Moving the map clockwise, circle it three times around the candle flame, imagining the flame is the sun.
  • Burn the map in the flame while making your wish.

You could say:

Fair weather I ask you to shine,
On this special day of mine,
I’ve chased the clouds away,
So the sun will shine all day.

Your special day will be filled with sunshine.

Protection From Beyond

LuAnneB081108

Romany spiritual traditions combine a dislike of disturbing the dead with a desire for the protective capacities cemetery dirt offers. Although one might not want to disturb one’s own ancestors or someone one knows, there’s no actual fear of the cemetery, thus an anonymous, unknown grave is chosen.

This spell harnesses abstract, protective qualities inherent in graveyard dirt to protect a child embarking on a long journey. Here’s how:

The parent takes a little dirt from any grave, balancing it on the back of the left hand. When the departing child isn’t looking, this dirt is tossed over his or her head to provide protection.
