Radical Forgiveness

I forgive myself for everything I ever did
that I thought was wrong.

WOW!

The first time I heard that was on a self hypnosis CD by William Rand. It was such a huge relief to hear it and to own it. I felt immediately freed from a great weight. And even now, whenever I think of it, I have that same feeling of lightening my load.

Yes, I have regrets. Yes, I have my demons and my disasters. Yes, I have made mistakes and engaged in my fair share of messed up stuff. Yes. And yet, right here, right now, I forgive myself for everything I ever did that I thought was wrong.

I don’t have to explain those things. I don’t have to “own” those things. I don’t even have to apologize. I am just giving myself a blanket forgiveness. Feels really good.

You can do this too. Try it!

Friends Without Benefits

Yesterday we talked about best friends. I think it might be good to continue with that conversation. Let’s talk about our friends. We all have at least one friend, at least I hope we do. I think it’s important to have friends.

It’s also important to have friends that love and support you. Friends that respect your boundaries and your choices. Friends you can count on to have your back when things get tough.

It’s also possibly true that we’ve all had our fair share of fair weather friends, fake friends, and people we thought were our friends who betrayed our trust or treated us badly. That’s the nature of a social life. There are best friends, good friends, bad friends, work friends, and of course I cannot forget to mention Facebook friends, or the people we call friends because we interact with them on social media.

Now, what if… and this is a RADICAL thought.

What if we got rid of all the fair weather friends, fake friends, and bad friends. In one day… what if we just dumped them. We could ghost them… I think that’s acceptable. Or we could take a stand and text them and say… “Look. This friend thing we are playing at just isn’t working for me. Sorry. Have a nice life. Bye.”

And then what if, after we did that, we washed our hands of them for real and lost their phone numbers and scrubbed them from our social media pages…

But wait… there’s MORE…

What if we made a point to tell all of our good friends, our best and true friends how much we appreciate them. We could call them and say, “Hey. I really appreciate you! Thank you for being you! My life is better because you are in it.” We could share something to that effect on their social media pages… or send an email… or a letter or a card.

I’m thinking this will take some of the sting out of the previous thing of dumping people. And it will reinforce the friendships that are important to our well being.

But wait… there’s ONE MORE RADICAL THING

What if we also make it a point to tell ourselves how much we appreciate us. Like… really take the time to say “Hey. I’m here for you. I love you. Sometimes you disappoint me, sometimes I disappoint you, but I will always have your back.”

What if we looked at ourselves and very sincerely said, “I forgive you for everything you ever did that you thought was wrong. I accept and embrace your faults and flaws. You and I, we do not have to be perfect. We can just be who we are in the moment and that’s OK.”

How about it guys? Are we up to it? Are we brave? Can we do it? I think so. Let’s just do it. We won’t even think twice about it… we’ll just go off half cocked and do it! For real!

Respect your own handcrafted meaning…

There’s a plot of land inside your skull.
It is small and yours.
Touch it, feel the pulse of rain and sun.
You may think it’s too simple for a proper garden.
That wealth or fame won’t root there.
These are horizon thoughts.
The horizon is not your home.
This is.
Tend the garden.

Often, we hear that to be the hero of our own story is to seek praise and increasingly complex forms of ownership. We hear this from people who need us to participate in this shared fiction, either to validate their own participation or because they want to sell us something.

Yet, again and again we see that those who gain wealth or fame must wrestle with the sobering truth that external validation does not change the fundamental fact that we all live within our own internal gardens accompanied by whatever we’ve coaxed to grow there.

Respect the peace you grant freely to yourself.
Respect your own handcrafted meaning.
Respect the intimate comfort of small pleasures.
Respect simple consistency over grand intensity.
Respect the bedrock truth that your worth is not tied to your possessions or achievements.

And also this:

Moss is 300 million years old.
It is at home on every continent.
No roots. No towering trunks,
yet it tasted the air before the first feather,
before shrews stirred the leaf litter.
When your mind hisses like a kettle,
look to your elder, to the green lessons
of soft, simple quiet beneath the sun.

Unplug and Unwind

So this is the last simple thing that I have rewritten. It’s the one I have had the most issues with, and it’s also really quite long and not actually simple at all. This is what the original said, ” Before you fall asleep, visualize chords connecting you to everybody you met that day, and send their energy back to them.”

I pulled out my trusty Synonym Finder, a giant book that I love to just read sometimes… LOL… I love words. More on that in a day or two. Anyway, it turned into a long and involved, once again complicated and convoluted thing. Here’s what I came up with:

In advance of descending into slumber,
Envision the bonds
Tying you to those encountered during the day,
And then disconnect, release,
And return their influence.

But it occurred to me that we might not want to disconnect our bonds with those we live with, those we love, those who support us and help us, those we help and support… And maybe that’s why I have so much trouble with this one.

With that in mind, I came up with:

Before you hit the sack, unplug, unwind, and let all that shit go.

I like it. You know what shit you need to let go of. So, just let it go.

Scintillating Resplendent and Brilliant

Continuing my exploration of what each of our Five Simple Things would look like if it was worded differently, I came up with a really fun alternative to the boringly ordinary thing #2, which is: “When showering, visualize shimmering gold water with protective light filling up your aura.”

I like this one a lot better! It’s very dramatic…

Upon inundation with water
In the bath,
Conjure up scintillating resplendent brilliance
Stuffing the atmosphere surrounding you
With a shining guardian.

Doesn’t this just make you want to jump into the shower or bathtub right now? And if not that, what if you went outside and asked the benevolent sun to be your shining guardian? And what if shimmering sparkles followed you wherever you went? What if everything you touch sparkled and shined because you touched it? And what if everything you said and did brought a lovely brilliance into the situation?

Asleep On The Job

The fifth of our Five Simple Things is the following: “Before you fall asleep, visualize chords connecting you to everybody you met that day, and send their Energy back to them.” I have been able to remember this one exactly ONE time in the last 15 days. Just ONE time!

And, interestingly, I am totally blocked when it comes to making a bunch of different stickers. My biggest problem with stickers for the other four was making myself stop. I made way too many. This time around I made exactly two. Yes, two.  Not 5, not 10, not 20… I only made two. Here’s the other one:

So, what the heck? The idea is an excellent one. I love the concept. Why can’t I remember to do it? Anyone else having similar problems? Any ideas? Suggestions? Insights?

Cleaning Up

The second item on our Five Simple Things that we are trying to remember to do every day is to visualize shimmering gold water filling the aura with protective light. I like this idea but… and the but is that I can’t seem to do it properly. So, I started exploring similar but different ideas to see if I could find something that feels easier and better for me. This is what I came up with so far:

  • When showering visualize shimmering gold water washing all your worries away.
  • When showering visualize shimmering silver water washing away all negative vibes.
  • When showering visualize a shimmering water rainbow healing all your hurt and pain.
  • When showering visualize a shimmering water rainbow enfolding your body in love and light.
  • When showering visualize beautiful shimmering water filling your aura with love and light.
  • When showering visualize beautiful shimmering water flooding your body with love and light.

So then, because I love playing with graphics, I made a bunch of colorful stickers. Here are some of my favorite ones. I hope you find at least one or two that you really like.

Geez… that’s a lot! And there are a bunch more that I decided not to upload. I always go overboard. LOL. It’s my super power. 🙂

Letting Go

“Before you fall asleep,
visualize chords connecting you to everybody you met that day,
and send their Energy back to them.”

What a great idea! And no matter how hard I try, I cannot remember to do this. I am now contemplating hanging a note from the ceiling over my bed. Part of the problem is that I have a bad habit of falling asleep on the couch and then stumbling off to bed at some point late into the night.

One idea I had was to visualize and disconnect those chords whenever I get home from work, or the store, or wherever I may have gone during the day. As I get out of the car, do the disconnect. I could leave myself a note in my car, which would help me to remember. The drawback to this is that I don’t go very many places these days.

Alternatively, I could post a note on my front door, and do the disconnect before I go into the house. This would prevent me taking “stuff” home with me. But again, these days I’m not leaving home very often.

If anyone has any suggestions or ideas for how to make this a regular practice, I’m definitely interested.

Coming Clean

I have been mulling over the best way to really get excited about our #2 simple thing which is:

“When showering,
visualize shimmering gold water with protective light
filling up your aura.”

By biggest problem with this is that I don’t take a shower every day, and when I do shower… it doesn’t occur to me until after I am done. So… What I came up with was a practical substitute that works for me.

Since we are in the midst of a pandemic, and I am having to work, I find myself washing my hands all the time. And I thought to myself that there must be a way to use hand washing instead of showering. But, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t equate hand washing with my aura filling up with light.

My solution was as follows:

  • Whenever I wash my hands I envision myself “washing my hands of…” and then I think of whatever is foremost in my mind that I really actually would like to let go of.
  • Also, since hand washing now is kind of long and drawn out, I imagine that I am washing away any bad karma, bad vibes, or negative bullshit that I might have “picked up” during the course of the day.

It seems to be working well for me, with the added bonus of being sure that I have spent enough time with the lathering, and germ killing practical side to the hand washing.

How about you? What is your experience with our second simple thing? Any insight or experience you’d like to share?

Blue Solar Water

Blue Solar Water is easy to make, delicious to drink and is very a powerful tool for healing the body and spirit.

As we know, water carries vibrations, energy frequency, crystals, colors… Blue solar water provides the best: the powerful energy of the sun, the source of all life, and the fascinating properties of the healing and calming blue color. This water has become a favorite and popular after the book Zero Limits by Dr. Hew Len and above all through Ho’oponopono, an ancient Hawaiian healing technique.

In addition to being extremely healthy, this water helps cleanse the deep negative subconscious programs that we automatically repeat over and over again. Blue solar water heals emotional wounds and blockages, takes them to the surface and relieves us from them so that we get reset back to zero, in a pure state, to a clean start, without the background noise of negative thoughts. This water meets positivity, peace and love. And everyone can drink it, children, sick with cancer, especially those on chemotherapy. It is even tastier than plain water. And it is very easy to make.

Why blue?

Blue is the color of the fifth chakra, the so-called power center or the throat chakra (Vishuddha). The throat chakra is extremely important because it is the way through which energy from the higher energy centers can move to the lower ones and vice versa. It is the first center of higher frequencies and only when it is completely clean and open, we can reach higher states of consciousness. It is a bridge between the physical and the spiritual world, between the heart and the mind. It separates the secular from the sacred and transmitters the intention of the soul.

And it has been scientifically proven that the color blue has a tremendously powerful impact on our brains, decision-making and behavior.

Blue sky means a nice, relaxing day. Clean calm blue sea means calmness and serenity. In fact, everything blue symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven. Krishna is blue.

Science says it’s no coincidence these blue things make all of us us feel so good. After all, blue is the only color spectrum that can effectively prevent people from committing suicide.

It is proven that the color blue has a calming effect on people, and that is why it is used in different ways. In 2000, police in Glasgow, Scotland, installed blue lights in areas with a high crime rate. Since then, crime in those infamous neighborhoods decreased by 9%.

In Japan, several major railway companies switched to only blue lights at all railway crossings. To date they have a stunning success: In 2007, a year before the blue lights were installed, they had 640 suicides. In 2008, after the lights were installed, there were zero suicides!

If this is all strange and you do not believe in the incredible efficiency of blue, read on.

One theory says that the color itself has a tangible, biological effect on our brain chemistry. Harold Wohlfarth, president of the German Academy of Color Science, conducted a study in which he found that blue color lighting actually had a psychological impact on children and adults, and what is particularly bizarre in all things is the fact that it had the same effect even on blind people.

Wohlfarth believes that traces of electromagnetic energy from the blue light affects certain neurotransmitters in the brain. When light of a certain color falls on the eye, even if the eye is blind, it affects the gland that produces melatonin, which creates a chain reaction that elevates mood and calms emotions.

How to make Blue solar water?

All you need is a blue glass bottle (the shade of blue is not important) and fill it up with filtered, spring or plain tap water. You also need to make sure that the cap you seal the bottle with is not made of metal. It can be glass or plastic, but never use metal. The cap only serves as a protection against dust or insects that are very fond of this water.

This water bottle should be then kept on the sun for 1-12 hours. The longer you keep it on the sun, the sweeter its taste will get. But remember not to keep it longer than 12 hours.

How to drink it?

Drink this water as much as possible, it is very tasty and drinkable. Somehow, our body recognizes it, so even those who don’t drink so much water will have no problem drinking a few liters.

In addition to drinking it, you can use this water for cooking, watering flowers, for your animals, add it in the washing machine, dishwasher, put in a sprayer and refresh the rooms, add it to your bath…

Once you have made your Blue Solar Water you can transfer it into another container, plastic or glass, doesn’t matter. It can be kept in the refrigerator or at room temperature.

If you get really excited about the solar water, here are some other uses:

  • Add some to your coffee, tea, cocoa, juice, etc
  • Use it to “wash your hands” of a given situation
  • Add Blue Solar Water to everything you cook, pasta, soup, oatmeal, etc.
  • Add some Blue Solar Water to your washing machine when washing clothes
  • Spray some in your dryer
  • Pour it over your head to clear yourself of bad vibes and negative energy
  • Add it to your radiator to make your car hummmm
  • Add it to your bath water
  • Spray yourself with Blue Solar water after showering
  • Spray rooms with Blue Solar Water
  • Gargle with it.
  • Wash floors with it
  • Wash your car with Blue Solar Water
