Joy
Four leaf clovers allegedly possess magickal healing powers. If you can’t find one, create one. This spell is especially beneficial if one person does it for another.
Find a four leaf clover, or cut a four leaf clover shape from paper or a sheet of copper or tin. Empower it with blessings of healing, and then hang it near the patient or within their line of sight to magickally ease pain, bring joy, stimulate healing, and speed recovery.

This spell is said to help one let go of painful feelings of grief. It is for those times in life when it seems impossible to feel joy again, such as after losing someone close to you.
Items Needed:
- A smoky quartz gemstone
- Bowl of water
- Three tablespoons of sea salt
Begin by holding the stone in your power hand. See your grief in your mind’s eye. Visualize the grief moving from within yourself and through your hand to the stone. As you do this, say:
Banishing stone,
Fill yourself with my grief,
so that I may feel joy again,
So be it, blessed be!
Stirring counterclockwise, mix the sea salt into the bowl of water, then add the smoky quartz stone. Swish the stone around three times in a counterclockwise motion. Leave the stone in the water for a few minutes, then take the stone outside and safely throw it as far as you can away from yourself.

This is a very simple spell. You will need two candles, a white one for you and a blue one for friends and family. As the full moon is rising, light the candles and say:
“I light these candles for luck for me,
and for my friends and family,
So they will burn by day and night,
and bring us joy by their bright light.”
Allow the candles burn until they are done. If something happens and you must put them out, pinch each flame out and say the following:
Little flame wait for me
I’ll be back and bright you’ll be.
Don’t blow them out it will stop the spell. Be sure to relight the candles later when you can allow them to burn completely down.

Upon awakening, turn your face to the rising Sun and breathe deeply, allowing a feeling of balance and happiness to fill you to overflowing. Repeat this exercise periodically throughout the day. Find something to be happy about all day. This may be a love or a success or it may be as simple as the Sun glinting on water or the feel of a gentle rain.
As night falls, cut openings large enough to hold taper candles in the top of two shiny autumn apples. Place two pink, or one gold and one silver, candles in the apple holders. As you light them, remember all the joys of the day and of your life. Rejoice in the joy you have brought to others and give thanks for these gifts.
