Dreams

Take a horse shoe and put it around a red candle. Put the candle in a darkened room in the middle of a table. Write what it is you want on a piece of paper with a quill pen dipped in black ink. Chant the following as you write:

What I want I write here
Please take my dream and bring it near
What I want Is what I should get
Let all my dreams now be met.

Now take the paper and fold it in a square of four creases. Hold it over the candle with a pair of tweezers and let it burn. Picture yourself with your wish fulfilled. As you burn the paper send waves of love at the image you conjure of yourself.

It’s no accident that the caduceus, the staff entwined with double serpents, is the modern symbol of the medical profession. Snakes are the primary animals of healing and have been so since ancient days.

Once maintained in the temples of healing that were the first hospitals, their venom both heals and harms. Their old skin fades and grows dull, only to be shed painlessly as the snake emerges vivid and youthful once again, revived and refreshed. Because they lack limbs, snakes are always in contact with Earth. They burrow in Earth’s crevices, live in the sea and in trees; they are privy to all Earth’s secrets. Snakes are the guardians and sometimes sharers of Earth’s wisdom, the guardians of her treasures, including secrets of healing.

This magical diagnostic technique is especially suited for conditions that defy conventional identification or treatment. An image of a snake is required. It may be a photograph, a stone fetish, or other artistic rendering, however, it must fit comfortably under your pillow and not disturb your sleep.

  • Bring the image to bed with you before going to sleep.
  • Gaze into the snake’s eyes and charge it with its mission: to reveal the mysteries of your ailment and its required treatment.
  • Place the image under your pillow, then go to sleep. The goal is to incubate the required dream.
  • Repeat this ritual until the dream has been received, clarified, and understood and no further dreams are required.

Michael the Archangel’s flaming sword illuminates dreams and provides safety as you linger in dreamland. This dream oracle affirms whether a spiritual petition or request is appropriate or not. This spell is based on surviving remnants of Alexandria’s Magical Papyri. The request for the dream is made using a magic lamp.

This spell doesn’t assume that you have a special ritual lamp. Oil lamps were once common household articles, like a table lamp is today: it wan’t a big deal back then for a spell to suggest using one, any more than a modern spell’s request for a spoonful of salt is an inconvenience. An everyday oil lamp may be used, or you can dedicate and charge a special lamp just for spell casting.

  • Set aside some time – as this spell will take a while to complete
  • Cleanse and purify yourself thoroughly using whatever methods you prefer.
    Light the lamp
  • Speak to the lamplight, (using the incantation below) observing it, reacting to it until it burns out.
  • Repeat the following incantation periodically throughout the vigil. It must also be recited at the very conclusion:

Lamp, light the way to Archangel Michael,
If my petition is appropriate,
show me water and a grave
If not, show me water and a stone.
Be silent, go to sleep, and dream.

NOTE: The symbols of “water and grave” and “water and stone” were used at the dawning of the Common Era. Use them if you like or select others that suit you better; just announce explicitly the identities of the symbols.

Dreams can be merely entertaining or intense and prophetic. Many natural aids to dreaming can be found in the garden!

  • If you want peaceful dreams that are relaxing, place a vase of jasmine by your bed.
  • If you are having nightmares and wish them stopped, place morning glories in the vase instead.
  • If you need to learn something in a dream, place a bay leaf under your pillow and ask for the knowledge.
  • If you just want nice dreams, use a sachet of lavender.
  • If you want to send a psychic dream to a loved one, blow the seeds off the top of a dandelion in his or her direction and project your wish, then go right to sleep.

If you want your dreams to come true, you can do one of two spells:

At midnight on a Friday, in silence, gather nine small non-spiny holly leaves and wrap them in a cloth. Place them under your pillow, make your wish, and go to sleep. Your dreams will come true.

Another ancient spell is to scatter marigold flowers under your bed, make your wish, and then say:

Wish I want and wish I may
Come to me through dream so fair
Come by night and come by day
Come, thou wish, and ride thee here

The Iroquois believe our souls communicate to us through our dreams. This spell is best done with like-minded friends.

Gather any objects that appear in your dreams from January 1st to January 10th. It is believed that if you find the objects in your dreams, good luck will be yours for the year because you have given your soul what it desires.

On the night of the January 10, share a potluck feast with your friends. Set the table with a purple cloth for intuition and with a green candle for luck. Have everyone bring the objects they have collected. Share your insights with each other.

Being A Witch

We should educate people that ‘Witch’ is not evil but ancient and positive. The first time I called myself a ‘Witch’ was the most magical moment of my life.
