slow going

Still A Little Wonky

So this morning I had to delete all the plugins and apps because one of them was messing up the Gypsy Magick and Lore site. And now I’m trying to remember which ones I had turned on and which ones were off for a reason… sigh…

If there is a weirdness here and there, that’s why. I’m trying to get it all back to normal but with 43 little sites it’s going to take some doing, and truth be told it may take a year at the rate I’m going.

Anyway… That’s my update for today. Hopefully its just minor inconveniences and inconsistencies that will only be noticed by me.

Behind The Scenes

Here’s a quick look at what’s going on behind the scenes here at shirleytwofeathers.com … LOL … It really does feel like this on most days. Currently, I just finished up a the latest Prosperity Project. Interested? Here’s an overview of the project: Five Simple Things – Project Overview. Other than that, nothing new today. Again… this picture says it all!

Taking Time

I am still trying to catch up with all the stuff I researched when my internet was down, and it’s really slow going… partly because I am back at work, so my physical energy is low… partly because I’m really wanting to move on to something new and different… partly because politics, race issues, and covid are wearing me out emotionally… and partly because, well, I don’t know but I’m sure there is something else…

Anyway. I’m doing my best to get everything up. So even though Lilac season has come and gone, I do finally have a bunch of info and recipes:

Lots of yummy recipes! I think I must be hungry because.. over at Way Cool Pictures we have:

And then, we have this over at More Cool Pictures:

So that’s it for today, and maybe even for the next couple of days as I have a bunch of “real life” stuff to take care of. In the mean time, Enjoy!

Floundering Around

During the three and a half weeks that I was without internet, I thought it would be a good idea to go ahead and write some rough drafts for the Encyclopedia of Herbology. And I learned something … having done a bunch of research and reading, my interest in those various herbs has waned. My curiosity has been sated… and I am having a really hard time getting that stuff finished and uploaded.

I also have a lot that I’d like to say about current events… but I have so much that I’d like to say that I can’t figure out how to get started. It’s like I can’t find my way in.

As a result, I’ve been taking the easy way out and posting memes. Not sure if today will be much different, but I hope so, because I really did research a bunch of stuff, and I really do have some strong opinions that I would like to share while they are still relevant.

That being said. here’s what’s new:

It’s About Time!

Suddenly, almost a month ago, my mobile broadband device blew up. I tried to get it replaced by calling Sprint, but interestingly, they couldn’t help me if I couldn’t verify my account via email… which I couldn’t access with no internet… not to mention we are in the middle of a pandemic and on lock down…

Anyway, lots of stuff happened… hours of bitching… sitting on hold… cussing… bitching… whining and complaining… more stuff happened… on hold for hours and hours…  trips to the Sprint store… bla bla bla…

Finally… 3 1/2 weeks later, a not quite right but usable mobile broadband device has made its way to my house and I have internet again… so YAY!

And now I will be blogging like a madwoman. Have fun exploring all the new stuff! Which I will be posting asap! The links to all the new posts will show up here as they are published. Stay tuned!

So far these are new posts at the Book of Shadows , Magickal Ingredients, Magickal Apothecary, The Aromatic Healers, Eating To Live , Feathers and Bones, Way Cool Pictures, More Cool Pictures, and Cool Beans.

Ok… I have run out of time in my day. So I will leave you all with a couple of new and hilarious memes over at Meme City. Have fun!

So What’s Next?

I have been sitting here for almost a half hour trying to decide what to work on today. The highly informational posts about specific herbs on the Encyclopedia of Herbology are really interesting, and I love to write them, but they take forever to do and wear me out…. I have a ton of fun memes, but they get tedious after a while, and then I get bored…

I suppose I could do some magick spells, or divination stuff… hmmm….. And then there’s my personal blog, Hey It’s Me, I wonder if I have anything I’d like to talk about over there?

So I resolved the problem by spending an hour on Facebook … LOL. Anyway. I am done being distracted and I am finished with my procrastination. I am on my third cup of coffee and so here goes nothing:

I know it doesn’t look like much, but it’s pretty impressive. Go look at the post about Angelica and you will find all kinds of interesting information! Seriously, go look at it!

On The Slow Train To Katmandu

Yesterday I posted a bunch of “how-to” stuff over at the Encyclopedia of Herbology. Today, my goal was to post a lot of herbal remedies along with in depth profiles of some of my favorite herbs. So far… I have 2 posts completed:

  • Ground Ivy – more than you ever wanted to know about this nifty little common plant.
  • Ground Ivy Magick – how to use that nifty little plant in magick.

Now I’m feeling pretty much done for, so this is probably it for today. Have fun reading all about Ground Ivy. It grows like crazy around here, and is one of my favorite little ground covers.

And so it goes…

I spent years… literally… wishing I didn’t have to work a regular job so that I could spend all my time on my website, making art, working on my property, doing cool shit. And then BAM! Global pandemic! I am stuck at home. Couldn’t go anywhere even if I wanted to. And apparently unable to do anything productive at all… nothing… nada… zip.

Of course, there were the months previous full of depression and sadness, and doing pretty much nothing at all. So, now I am making a stab at being productive. Not sure if there is really any point to it, but back on my laptop, and posting.

Wish me luck and send me some good energy and hope for the future!
